- The Boberg XR9-S is the short version of the Boberg XR9, which only exists as a prototype. Dubbed the "Shorty", this pistol was designed by developer Arne Boberg to have similar ballistic characteristics as the Glock 26 , but with an overall length 30mm shorter. With an overall length of 130 mm, it has similar dimensions to the Kel-Tec P-3AT or the Ruger LCP , but has a barrel that is about 15 mm longer and a cartridge type that is about 1.8 times as powerful, namely 9×19mm instead of .380 ACP, which is metric 9×17 mm.

For such a small gun its got a really interesting loading system. People may think its complicated but if your like me and you know how 90% of all guns work its pretty simple.
Thank you for your efforts! Most enjoyable.
👏👏👏I could make one on the rheinmetall 202 20 mm barrel or oerlinkon 20 x 139mm? it would be fantastic I can get you the plans
This is really interesting. Loading system slightly resembles the one from the lever-action rifles of wild west era, but miniaturized and semi-auto.
Doesn't look too reliable, though. Complicated mechanism with lots of tiny parts - looks fragile and hard to repair.
But i understand, this is weapon for being used by agents, not soldiers. So it's ok, i guess.
❤👍
Why no *rifles* like that! 🙂
Atually, the idea came exatly from the rifles - the lever-action rifles of late 19 century.
@@serhiid3758 , having a rifle between the regular layout and bullpup sounds interesting. In theory 😊
bullpup pistol.
Not really: most pistols have been a bullpup design since the FN1900. This pistol is unusual in using a lifter like a Mars pistol, albeit to shorten the weapon this time.
Almost all pistols have the magazine sitting behind the trigger; so in theory they already *are* bullpups.
However, i'll still call this one here "bullpup pistol" 😂
Misleading Title...now that the Boberg design is owned by Remington, it doesnt work.
