  • The Walther PP (Polizeipistole, or police pistol) series pistols are blowback-operated semi-automatic pistols, developed by the German arms manufacturer Walther.
It features an exposed hammer, a traditional double-action trigger mechanism, a single-column magazine, and a fixed barrel that also acts as the guide rod for the recoil spring. The series includes the Walther PP, PPK, PPK/S, and PPK/E. Since 1971, the Walther TPH pocket pistol is a miniaturised PPK identical in handling and operation.

The Walter pp is probably the most successfull and reliable as well as conceable pistol that included a practical double action... Also, it's hammer fired, which adds complexity, but has certain advantages to striker fired... It's one of the most copied and made handguns of the world 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ but hey it NeEdS 7 SpRiNgS...

@@six8810 no don't say more because it sounds stupid... That pistol had it's place in history just like other seemingly simple guns like the sten gun for example... We would be nowhere near where we are today in terms of weapon tech if it wasn't for those past designs...laughing about their complexity/their weakness means stupidity/arrogance and true enthusiasts know the worth of old designs even if they are passed by todays systems... The would literally be no Laugo Alien if it wasn't for H&K P7... They use the same delaying system and one is old, the other top notch competition gun of today...
