- A six-year-old hound mix named Rover is settling into his new home after being adopted New Year's Eve from the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Rover was brought to the shelter as a stray in July 2021 and, as of his adoption date, had been at the shelter longer than any of his fellow canine counterparts.

i'm happy for rover going to his furever home, hound dogs are awesome
Beautiful boy happy lucky couple...
Thats awesome I think people are getting better at taking care of man's best friend.
What a lovely story about Rover!💝
Happy for him
WOW!!!! He's a beautiful man!!
Glad for this pupper to get a home at last. I know this shelter's staff is doing the best it can with the number of "residents" but the last frames of this clip make the facility look like "dog jail."
This warms my heart.
Happy life Rover.
Infinite Love for Rover and his new parents and the animal shelter people who take good care of animals.
Kudos to the beautiful couple
The local news station are the real hero's !
♥️🙏 Love the story!
So happy for the puppy and the sweet couple!
If I was a billionaire I would adopt all of the animals.
Until then, adopt at least one. You have more money and ability then every dog currently locked up for no fault of their own.
Humane Society tampa bay best love ❤❤
Hah that last dog was like " wtf. What you looking at?"
Good puppy
No reason for him to be in there that long. He's a good looking feller. Bias against big dogs.
❤️🙏🏻
Bravo il le mérite ce petit chou 👍
thankfully it wasnt a kill shelter
❤️🙏
Only a one sided story she is correct cages that certainly was no slip on the tongue
Im a bit confused though, doesn’t the shelter treat them for heart worm, before putting them up for adoption? I always thought they made sure the poor little guys were healthy first.
Do some research and you won't be confused anymore.
