    Hallo, Andreas!
    Great content in the last couple of days. High temperatures involved in both of your latest videos. I really like the idea of sharing this with us. For the car/engineering enthusiasts it's like a treat.
    I wish you a successful track season!

    I remember this same procedure on my A45amg 5 years ago with RS29 pads. They worked great, but heavy track work cost me 3 front rotor sets too. The cooling vents are a good idea I didn't have. Also used the castrol srf react fluid.

    Hallo Andreas, super Vid. Erstaunlich das die so schnell das glühen anfangen trotz deiner Zusatzkühlung. Dann muss es bei mir ja schon funken. Ich fahre ja im Moment die gleiche Paarung aber ohne zusätzliche Kühlungen. Bei mir schmelzen regelmäßig die Verschleißkontakte und die 8 Kolbendichtungen.

    • @WaveCeptor22
      @WaveCeptor22  Před 5 lety +2

      Man muss aber erwähnen, in 2 Minuten sieben mal von 180 auf 60 km/h abzubremsen, das macht man normalerweise noch nicht mal auf einer Rennstrecke. Da bekommt man auch die am besten gekühlte Bremse zum glühen. Und die Bremsscheiben waren durch die 10 Bremsungen von 150 auf 80 km/h auch gut vorgewärmt ;)
      Mit den Kolbenmanschetten und Verschleißsensoren habe ich keine Probleme.

    what are you doing this for ?

    • @WaveCeptor22
      @WaveCeptor22  Před 4 lety +1

      From Pagid Racing website:
      To align the pad surface with the brake disc (rotor) surface and ensure full contact.
      To transfer a layer of friction material onto the brake disc (rotor) faces to achieve maximum performance.
      To burn out the volatile elements in the friction compound in order to have the initial (green) fade occur during bedding and not during the race.

    What is the best rotor and brake pad combo for everyday (fast) driving. Not for track..
    I had original brake pads and then i got Brembo (front) ATE (back) pads and it is terrible.

      Hi Andreas,
      I just upgraded my brakes to Pagid RSL 29s as well and am having a issue with vibrations through the steering wheel (also replaced rotors front and rear with new brembo discs) I cleaned the hubs with a piece of ‘steel wool’. Should I revisit the hub to clean again with a steel brush?
      Additionally, would you recommend sanding the discs and pads before break in? Thank you

    • @Lzill
      @Lzill Před 5 lety +5

      All sorted. Used an abrasive disc on the hubs and remounted rotors. No more steering vibrations :)
