Given that the interiors are so bland, the house actually gives contrast by using carved volumes and by maintaining a connection to outside.

I do not like her house. It looks unfinished and very cold and sad. Makes me uncomfortable. I spent 30k to remodel my home and I love it. Its all grey and white but with tons paintings of nature. My boyfriend doesn't love all the flowers but I love it so he "loves" it. We just remodeled one of his pole barns. All new walls, trim, 6 tvs with an 86 inch and the rest 60 inches. It's all man stuff! All of it! Man! Fish, street signs he "found" years ago, car stuff, all his trophies. It's awesome! That was the deal. Inside is my domain. Outside is his.

All you would have to do is put your hand flat on the wall and feel around for the switch. Same for the traditional style light switch. If you ever went blind, you would be doomed, if you couldn’t even do that.

If you think you wouldn’t even be able to find a light switch as an seeing person with the light off, imagine how you would be as a blind or even just legally blind person - completely helpless.
