Tail of the Dragon guy is "Yellow Wolf" and he rides a Goldwing 1800. I have a 2000 Goldwing 1500SE with progressive front and rear shocks. Yes, it does handle well. Yours has an intercom with front and rear speakers. The bags all open from a central opening spot under the top case in back. Great bikes. Mine has 133,000 miles on it and drinks NO oil between oil changes. I will keep my GW until at least 300,000 miles!!!
Hello,im thinking about buying a 2000 goldwing se 1500 trike, are there any specific problems with this year & model I should be aware of ? are parts readily available? thanks for any info you can provide,
On the 1500's.... do the timing belts.... then the general maintance stuff... tires, fluids, etc.
Hows the wing doing?
@@travisgrover7163 As of Feb 2024, it is still flawlessly rolling down the road. The only thing that has went bad was a fuel gas petcock valve that was $50 or so. It took 20 minutes for me to replace it. Great bike.
I just got home tonight with a "new" 50th anniversary edition.
I'm EXHAUSTED!
I have an INSANE story about how it came to be mine but...
Let's just say, God TRULY works in mysterious and wonderful ways.
To the staff at Mt. Rushmore, thank you for honoring and recognizing those of us who served, this July 4th.
I never would have DREAMED of being there to see it.
Thank you to those brothers and sisters we lost too.
God's speed.
One identical to this one fell into my lap this past summer except mine is a 1994. I bought it off an old retired guy for 4200.00 bucks. It was sitting in his front lawn with a for sale sign on it.It only had 31,000 miles on it. It only needs a tune up cause it idles rough. It’s been sitting ( garaged in retired guys garage) more than it’s been ridden. Goldwings don’t do well sitting in the garage for weeks or months or years.
Mine guzzles clutch fluid for some reason I have to fill it once a month but other than that it’s a cream puff. I’m going to get it tuned up spark plugs changed and fix the clutch guzzling problem then really take a long road trip out of state on it.
I have a 95 gold wing1500 se 20th anniversary edition. I love goldwings.
that's a keeper, love the old coast to coast bike's, smooth, bro.
I have 2 goldwings. A black 92 model and a 99 model that looks exactly like this.
The difference between the two are night and day in cornering and handling. Besides the 50the anniversary badge they look the same but in no way do they handle the same so I can believe you when you say that bike handles well.
I have a 2012 Gold wing and I love it. Best bike in the world.
sorry harley guys but nothing and i mean nothing .harley makes can match up to the goldwing ive owned both ultra cl and gold wing ...and the gold wing hands down is a better built better made better price better reliability
Bottom line. Harleys tend to shake themselves to pieces and are not even that comfortable over distance.
yeah gold wing is the bike
Honda Goldwing 1500 now there's a bike I would own ha ha
lasttime ilifted a 1990 GW off the stand it felt like I was lifting a freight train onto 2 wheels. The newer models have a lower center of gravity and are much easier to deal with at low speeds.
😂😅😮 last line..."its like your sitting on a "stool""!😅😂😮😢
Nice review!!!
That bike is clean as Heaven
muito loca essa moto, parece uma nave espacial.
NICE SMOOTH HONDA GOLD WING PLENTY OF POWER
Extra motor koleś !!!!!!!!
You would ride this to the moon? Reminds me of the music video to electric feel where they ride some vintage Hondas thru the moon
An awesome bike however of no use in the traffic conditions encountered often in Europe.
I do wonder though, you make It sound like goldwings are a rarety in the states? Is the True because with the amount of them made It seems hard to believe. I recently bought my first bike, a Jinlun Highlander 125, and because of how the law works here im gonna need to wait for around 4 years to drive something as heavy as this. so I wanted to trade my Jinlun in for a 650 Dragstar classic, which Brings me to my Next point,is It a good idea to first drive choppers and then eventually getting this monster,or would you suggest different starter bikes
+Sean Kerr Good point! thinking of ending on either a goldwing or Electra glide, price difference plays a major role. what is a shame
Actually the used market is flooded with them. Which is good if you are buying!
Everyone still wants a loud Harley...
Lindo esse moto adorei
lol he said 'tape deck'!
Fuel Injected???
wat price?
so out of the two wings which you like the best
The one you are riding....
I'm glad you didn't try to use the Jesus juice to sell a product on this video.
I found a 97 gold wing for only 2500. If it's good condition is that a fair price?
That’s a steal
Reverse?!?! I wish my bike had reverse so I don't have to do the waddle walk!
Fine on the open roads but useless in congested places. An American bike but awkward on European roads due to the amount of traffic
I drive this bike 8 years and be sure you are wrong.
@@gabrielstaniecki Agreed! Remarkably easy to manouvere in car parks or small roads ect. Low centre gravity and wide handles. Nothing beats the GL 1500!
Honestly how hard is it to ride these things. I mean im tall but small lmao but like weight wise
I have 1986 GL1200 850 lbs no reverse a hand full in uneven terrain but above 10 mph it is rock steady
He should have made a stop at the stop sign
The GL1800 is better though. I would sooner get that than the 1500.
gl1800 is not necessarily better. The 1500 needs less maintenance and for many riders it's more comfortable then the 1800. The 1800 is easier to change the rear tire, on the 1500 it's a pain.... Both are excellent bikes.
Yes, you have a point; just from my own standpoint, I think that the 1800 is just a little better really.
the 1500 is more rock & roll, the 1800 lost that “cadilac” look. But if the 1500 ever became obsolete, i would still buy an 1800, any Goldwing is awesome.
True bike
How do you know about the tail of the dragon?? =D
+Ethan Arnold everyone knows about the tail of the dragon and deals gap
Thats awesome i live in maryville lol
Is that a 1.5 litre engine ?
Yes 1.5L 6 cylinder boxer
@@hondawarrior5714 It is not boxer, it is flat six engine
Air suspension is fine when it works; when it fails, you are left hanging around. Give me hydraulic suspension anytime.
problem is, they don't fail.... My '82 has the stock air ride, front and rear, still works flawlessly.... same with my '89. It's really a non-issue... and if it ever does fail, it's pretty cheap and easy to fix.
Sorry but maybe when I'm old ...not for me ..I wanna hear the motor and feel the wind.
Roadking 2003 what?!
Light in the corners........OK
I have one and have ridden other bikes. Good bike.....but "light in the corners"?
LOL
Its a big heavy bike but the weight is all down low. I think whey they say light in corners, they are referring to how easy it is to roll left and right. It does have a lot of inertia in the corners. Mine weighs about 920 pounds empty.
Did you say tape deck? Lol 👴🏻
Great bike though, no question.
Yup, cassette deck. That's what my 89 has. I added a blue tooth kit to mine... Makes it even better.
An excellent bike but too cumbersome for Swiss roads. I own a BMW K1200LT.
I have a K1200LT and I feel like it would be more cumbersome than a Wing. Certainly the BMW is more problematic at the very least 😂
Looking at this same year goldwing and only wants 3500.00
I just pay 7 grand in canada
The Goldwing is ideal for the roadways in the US but here in Europe it is too heavy and cumbersome to ride around.
Hey, come on!
It is to slow for Europe
bullshit
god invented motorcycles? tape deck? does it even have an ashtray??
Fuel Injected???
