I like still like the 1500 styling much better than the current models, the new ones are trying to be a touring bike that looks sporty - BMW has achieved that with the 1600 but the new wing looks like two different styles of bike slapped together, with engine hanging down like a large flat lump of lead slung underneath, whereas the 1500’s and previous 1800’s were well integrated styling wise. 😎

When I saw a Honda Gold Wing show up in my list I was just starting to delete it and then recognized you. That is one good looking motorcycle. I don't think someone is going to find a 98 in that kind of condition. It's obviously been his baby. The version of that bike stripped of all that dress is interesting to ride. I think the base model is more fun, but still it's not what I'd want for my main ride. Im glad to see that you used the center stand. Whoever the talent is behind the camera does a great job. You might be surprised. I've seen some really nice 1500s under $3000 (not going to tell you how little I paid for mine, that was a "wife-says-it-goes" deal). Remember, the Wings are a two-wheel Cadillac, so they don't usually get beat up like a BMW or a Hardly-Feelitsoon. Even the classic, pre-1985 Goldwings tend to have been taken care of (if you find a needs-restoration under $750, grab it!), but the 1500 Aspencade is pretty much as good as motorcycles ever came for riding any farther than the next town over.

Glowing review, then you say it not for you! I just bought a 88' GL1500 with same reverse! Guy N. of Seattle wants builder building next door to do same home on his place. But he can't sell GW, Washington State governor has state locked down in homes, citizens losing jobs, homes, livelihoods so no one buying big motorcycle. Asked my friend with quad trailer to pick it up with me! Bike stored so long covered in dust. I don't care I'm looking for a parts project bike, so not concerned with color. But wind from I-5 blows off dust bike to reveal airbrush painted desert scenes, eagles head behind front wheel, etc. My friends neighbor, which I don't know, is painting his house an sees bike on trailer from ladder. He's pointing to his painting buddy to see bike, so I just stop an say, check out bike we just got! Cool desert scenes he says, then says, stay here, I have something for you! He come out if house with a picture, but it's 3 separate pictures of painted desert that mountains an colors match bikes airbrush air work! Here I want you to have this! I can't take that from a complete stranger! Well, we'll have to do something about that, an he set painting in cab of my truck. So not only did I get a deal on GW, I got a matching air work picture in frame an glass (with description on back), an a New Friend! Then on way home with bike on trailer a couple on 1800GW pulls up me, an co-rider says, nice bike! Yeah, I'm just now bring it home! So they drifted back an checked out the bike! Then motored back to my window an discussed the accessories like trailer hitch, forward/rear controls, they said she counted several accessories. They they waved an continued to brake through 2 hour traffic jam with me, from N. of Tacoma to Olympia! When I got home I saw where bikers were right, there were several accessories, I check an find I paid less than the trailer hitch for whole bike, cool! Then Biden somehow managed the White House an now fuel prices are sky rocketing!

Do an Akira Anime mod to it, watch Akira anime if you are unaware of the reference :)

I very familiar with Akira, I believe I was in my early teen when it came out in Italy, circa 1990, 😅
Unfortunately it's not my bike otherwise I would do all sort of crazy stuff to it 👍

@@AlbesADV There is a guy here in Tokyo doing an Akira mod: czcams.com/video/1MPqqVGqIJc/video.html check it out. I think this mod would actually work easily on your Goldwing, it has similar aesthetics and shape, so it would be an easier mod.

I heard that it is 1 carb per 3 cylinders. Any comment? True?

I'm not sure, I haven't looked into it, but would make sense, should be easier to sinc rather than using 6, one per cylinder

Not your bike und you rode it the first time today. Good choice to do a "review"
