I think overall mangos laser game hurt him here. At times he was trying to hard to run back laser, and leffen was in his face the whole game. Lef was killin it with the edgeguards though.

@@tsean1106 yeah, nintendo just hates competitive smash. its a reality that won't change it seems sigh. A strong online implementation would have been so healthy for ultimate, increasing the size of the devoted community immeasurably. its so sad to see a company refuse to let the community have what it wants. its maybe more sad that the community remains loyal despite that.
bonzwah1 it’s ironic about Nintendo not liking competitive so much that they add mechanics that make even casual play less fun overall (this extends from brawl to current smash). Even the rage mechanic in smash 4 was anti competitive and made casual play very janky.
@@tsean1106 I think that likely the game balance team has to juggle many demands and I we're definitely simplifying a more complex issue when we say "nintendo doesn't like competitive smash" cuz there is clearly some drive to make a balanced and mechanically deep game.
likely there are people on the team that care very much about the same things that the competitive community cares about. some might even actively like or advocate for the competitive aspect of smash. its just clear also that there exists a big influence that runs counter to competitive concerns.
so yeah you're right that they send mixed messages with their decision making, but as long as there remains this heavy anti-competitive influence, then no smash will ever really deliver on a product that is fully satisfying.
in this case, I really think the actual game is pretty good, but the online just prevents average joe from ever being able to engage in an amateur competitive experience that most multiplayer titles these days provide, and that ruins the entire game for someone like me (average joe gamer)
What do you mean? Melee is fully satisfying, competitively viable, has a good online system, and can still be played casually well.

Dude have you seen HMW other commentary he's insightful as fuck just watch any of his beyond the summit commentary and you can easily see that. Dude is the caliber of a top 100 he knows his shit. He's just hella baked most likely and just wants to have a good time commentating .
