Having drugs around a baby that couple should truly be ashamed of themselves
We had an incident a couple of years ago here in Sweden where a couple had their baby taken away at birth due to it being born with drugs in the system. She was placed in a loving fosterhome but the parents got her back two years later, despite the dad refusing to take drug tests and assaulting staff from social services several times, and the mom also constantly failing her drug tests. My guess? They had had another baby and it was probably cheaper to give them back the first child than removing both.
In the less than two months than transpired before the girl was killed she wss seen severla times running in the street with the dad running after her stark naked and threatening to beat to kid. Once she took refugee in a restaurant and an off duty police officer called dispatch to get social services to rescue the girl. Nope, they didn't feel like it, so he had to send her back with the unhinged dad.
The "parents" only cared abut their drugs and constantly shot the kids up with drugs to keep them calm. One day the toddler found drugs (I think they had been left on the coffee table) and died from an overdose. Daddy Dearest stuffed the corpse in a suitcase, left her under a bed and continued shooting up. Priorities, and all that.
His brother visited a few days later and found the girl in the suitcase. He calle dthe police immediately, both idjits were arrested and dad died waiting for the trial (his body was so used to drugs that the withdrawal killed him). The mom was sentenced to 8 years in prison, whilst the foster mom became famous enough to bag a former pop star turned cosplaying Viking.
