Ireland is set to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö, Sweden, with "Doomsday Blue" performed by Bambie Thug. The Irish broadcaster, RTÉ, organised the national final Eurosong 2024 in order to select the Irish entry for the contest.

I can totally see why you wouldn't like it; I knew from the very beginning that it wasn't going to win you over, and that's all right.
As for me, I'm very excited that Ireland is finally sending something unique. It's not only the aesthetics, but it's a genuinely good song in my ears. It feels so genuine, like they aren't trying to appeal to any juries. They're obviously not trying to win like many countries often try to do and only end up sending boring songs. I really hope that Ireland qualifies this year!

Well i think this was a good choice for Ireland and it’s better to have people who hate and love this rather than be a Germany where everyone thinks your song is mid🤷♂️
Ireland needs to qualify somehow so they will try the risky route this year and I applaud that. We’ll see if it will pay off.

It's basically a pastiche song. And you either believe it's genuine or not., which makes it a hate-or-love entry. Of course I fully support people who think it's genuine, but I'm just totally not buying it. So let's find out how well it does in the end, that's what this contest is all about!

I fully agree with you Schlager. We must bring back the juries for the semifinals, otherwise, we'll lose good songs in the semifinals. I'm sorry Ireland, but this "song" isn't even a song, it's just an awful screaming clip. My last place this year, sorry 😢
