YOU'RE DOING BLOODBORNE NOW?! Awesome! The lore for that game is already amazing but having another layer of Insight from Tarnished Archaeologist should be fantastic! Looking forward to it!
Insight being a keyword here
The archaeology of all time!
Charred Thermos just looked up over his glasses from his chloroform soup. Tough act to follow there, should be interesting.
YES!!!! I've been hoping you'd come to Yharnam!! There's so much I want to learn here, all the statues and layers the city is built on. Oh man I'm so excited!
So excited to see your take on the architecture of Bloodborne. Like, Sophie says that the Grand Cathedral was built by the Pthumerians, and I'm very curious to hear your thoughts.
I don't think I've ever been excited about CZcams videos the way I get hyped for yours. Keep up the amazing work!
Niiice you and smoughtown both doing bloodborne stuff is a dream come true. I am extremely hyped to see what you have in store my dude
Ohhh, this is such a thrilling and exciting thing to wake up to! Bloodborne is probably my favorite game full stop, and your work in the Elden Ring lore space approaches the setting from a direction very different from those of most other lore hunters, so I cannot wait to see what secrets you dig up in the ancient and twisted depths of Yharnam and its surrounding biomes. Ahh, the eyes lining my brain positively quiver at the prospect!
The crossover I never knew I desperately needed. Can't wait!
Let's gooooo!! I love the elden ring archeology series and thanks to ER I played BB not too long ago and absolutely loved it. I can't wait to see what I will learn from your videos.
I'm legit considering buying a freaking Playstation because of this game.
I’ve never even played BB and I’m stoked for this series.
@ryandelvalle1384
Have a look at either Paleblood Hunt by Redgrave or Charred Thermos' series in the meantime.
I consider those two the current luminaries in the field.
So hype for this! Charred Thermos has an excellent series on Bloodborne lore. Mostly it's real world inspirations. Definitely check it out if you can't wait to begin the hunt!
Charred Thermos's videos are so good. Totally changed how I look at the game.
Literally frothing at the mouth, shaking uncontrollably and howling like a madman. Finally, exactly what I wanted: a real Tomb Prospector to explore the dungeons of the Great Ones with!
I am looking forward to this more than I can put into words. I love every one of your videos!
Ok, based on how you responded to so many folks mentioning charred thermos in your last video I'm beyond stoked for this. Why? Two reasons.
1st. Charred thermos's take on bloodborne had the same effect that your videos have had on the Elden Ring community that CT's videos had on Bloodborne, where he kept pulling up literary references that sounded so close to the game that they nearly sounded like cut content. This showed in clear relief the literary and historical inspirations Miyazaki was drawing from and, in your case, also architectural/anthropological.
2nd. Charred Thermos said early on that he was not Vaatividya and in many ways he also seems to be a bit overly willing to go beyond research and wander into wild speculation. Not to mention he left a few too many lose ends both worth exploring and almost implied that he was going to explore. I say all of this because no one has responded to CT's videos that I have seen and Bloodborne lore has more than a bit of recontextualization left available to it. So the thought of you being the one to re-contextualize the lore of Bloodborne feels like a blessing from the great ones!
From it's tour of Victorian art history to it's music to it's incredible literary underpinnings to me, Bloodborne was one of the clearest examples of games-as-art.
So happy prospecting, Tarnished Archaeologist! May you grant us all eyes on the inside. =)
I came across CT's videos just recently and I was sorely disappointed when he deleted his channel, I only got to the second video. So I'm glad I found this channel, cant wait to experience Bloodborne again in an entirely different light.
@@hasanm3707Don't worry! All of CT videos (except for one sadly) are on the internet archive, they will be never lost forever!
First SmoughTown and now Tarnished Archeologist? Things just took a turn from great to awesome!
Gotta say, I look forward to this extremely much. You are a fantasticly detailed investigator of lore, architecture and culture, I am DELIGHTED to hear you'll be taking on Bloodborne as your next project.
As a huge fan of the "bloodborne up close" series i know you're going to do a wonderful job.
I'm crying tears of joy (tbh not really). But still! I think Bloodborne has the best Lore of the entire Soulsborne games and you have some of the best lore videos ever!
You and charred thermos are about to be the dynamic duo of bloodborne lore
Bloodborne is one of the most densely layered games ever created. I can't wait to see where you start. If I had to bet, in reality where I'm hoping you start, is the chalice dungeons and work your way out. There's a plethora of symbols, remains, icons, tools, etc that are the foundations of ancient pthumeria and that influence is reflected many years later in Yharnam itself.
YES! I'm obsessed with the architectural designs in this game! Especially the hauntingly beautiful city of Yharnam. The many layers of the medieval Gothic skyline in every direction perfectly staggered, the suffocating narrowness of the streets, vertical alleyways, platformed neighborhoods, I love how its both grandiose magnificence and dilapidated decay at the same time. I would love to experience it in VR someday.
So unbelievably hype for this. Bloodborne is far and away my favorite From Soft lore, and may be my favorite game lore ever. Can't wait for your insights and music choices!!
This is the best channel on yt rn, I'm glossy eyed listening to every word this person says on every video. My mind is expanded, it's like a very organized Queelag video.
TA: "I mean, just look at the designs of the lintels of this old house! Do you know the implications of this!?"
Yharnamite: "Mate, me eyeballs are jus' milky orbs rollin' in me 'ead. I can' see fokin' shite!"
Yay! 🎉
I usually don't comment but this is awesome! I love your approach to lore and your videos are always a treat.
"Fear the old blood, Tarnished Archaeologist. By the gods fear it"
GRANT US EYES!
You would make some really amazing lore videos on this. I’m excited
You should change your name to Moon-scented Archaeologist or some kind of terminology related to Bloodborne for this series, haha!
I am so excited about this though, I had a feeling you'd tackle Bloodborne soon considering you used it in your latest video as an example for parallel evidence/analogies. I can't wait to see how you deal with the themes, aesthetics, and influences of Bloodborne's exceptional setting and lore!
Hell yeah! Can't wait to hear your thoughts and speculations on Bloodborne!
This is utterly fantastic! I've always thought the architecture in Bloodborne was the best of any Miyazaki game, that Second Empire style is just jaw-droppingly good. I can barely wait for your detailed analysis. Thanks so much!
"We were like them that Dream."
Your promo music selection continues to astound.
Hell yeah dude, im hyped. Your videos are such a blessing
It’s interesting to see this trailer, because I’ve been doing some Bloodborne archaeology myself having started the game back up recently. Having the knowledge of looking for specific stratum and design, I noticed the courtyard and surrounding area of the Cathedral Ward is absolutely packed all over with this design of what seems to be two angels sitting opposed to the other, with some sort of gargoyle like creature between them, holding up a sash that wraps around the two of them. It’s literally everywhere in Central Yharnam. There’s definitely a lot of bits and pieces to pick up on. Can’t wait to hear your take!
MY DREAM CAME TRUE
You are legit my favorite channel for any souls content. The attention to detail, the depth, the though and care put into it simply Magnifique.
I always wanted a archeological analysis of Bloodborne, especially the chalice dungeons. Given your record, I cannot wait.
Can't waaaaiiit to see your observations on the Chalice Dungeons. Thanks for creating Bloodborne content. This'll be grand.
The Paleblood Hunt thesis has been the ultimate lore source so far, excited for new revelations from the TA Team!!
Sick!
I really hope you'll do some videos on the Dark Souls trillogy at some point too.
Hell yeah! It's time for bloodborne lore!
I did some CZcams archeology and you were hinting about this for at least 5 months. Very fun rewatching old videos btw.
there is so much beautiful visual storytelling in bloodborne this is gonna be sweet
LETS GOOOOOO
My favorite lore channel exploring my favorite lore?
I'm all in
Awesome! 'm sure you're aware of The Paleblood Hunt. The level of perception you applied to ER is going to make this a much-watch whenever it pops.
This is amazing. I can't wait, got me excited, giggling like a little boy who just got a new toy.
Hope you get to 100k subs soon, well deserved.
If you're investigating Yharnum, you should check out what I believe is its main inspiration: Edinburgh, it was the greatest medical learning center of Victorian England, its main medical university looks a lot like Byrgenwerth and it has an older part of town that had burned down during this period.
There might be more behind it.
*tfw you crack the screen from clicking too hard and now the cats are watching you sob on the kitchen floor because you can’t see the trailer clearly*
I always wondered about those statues in the church with the Blood-Starved Beast. They are so different from the statues everywhere else. I look forward to a new look at this game.
The start of Hoonter archeology! Looking forward to this, it's great to see BB lore videos making a resurgence!
YESSSSSS
YESSSSSSSSSSSS
I've been binge watching Bloodborne lore videos the past few days and they're all from years ago. I can't wait for a fresher look at the game.
Commenting for the algorithm. Can’t wait for these videos!
Bloodborne isn't just my favorite FromSoftware game, it's my favorite game of all time. This is gonna be good.
I always enjoy your musical choice!😊
This is hype, cant wait for an episode on ”The fishing hamlet”, i really find it interesting how it is a village dedicated to the worship of a seemingly benevolent Great One.
What timing! Just as I was binging videos from Last Protagonist and Sophie's Old Shame
YES!!! THAT'S WHAT I WANTED!!!
I'm so happy, i don't think you remember but a few videos ago i actually asked you in the comments if you would ever do something like this and you answered foreshadowing this to me... but i didn't dare hoping to have news so soon.
I'm hyped.
FEAR THE OLD LORE!!! BY THE GODS TARNISHED ARCHAEOLOGIST, FEAR IT!!!
I bet you'll be able to find somewhere in the pthumeru tombs, an ancient inscription that reads "the world was created in 60 fps"
Just watched your first Bloodborne video. Subscribed :)
I've cancelled show night with my wife for your episodes. Can't wait for these!
While I’m excited about this, I’m also a bit heartbroken. I’m pretty sure I discovered the secret behind the moon presence and I was gonna make a video about it, because it’s not something I’ve seen discussed in great detail anywhere else, but I’m nearly 100% positive that you’ve figured it out too and you’re going to beat me to it.
😢 I have been waiting for this moment for so long. Thank you, thank you, thank you, TA!
I'm so hyped oh my god
I have been anxiously awaiting this since you started toying with the idea. I can't wait!
Yes! I just watched all of Charred Thermos' An Agony of Effort videos, and found his ideas extremely interesting - curious how they will hold up to TA's dissection (pardon the pun).
I will be sitting in front of my screen patiently refreshing until it's live. Thank you.
As much as I love looking at the architecture of yarhnam I have realized how perfect you will be for exploring this setting. Seek paleblood brave Hunter may you uncover the mysterious of the cosmos.
Can't wait, Bloodborne lore is my favorite of all Fromsoft games. Fear the Old Blood!
Amazing. The best content on CZcams just got sooo much better.
Chooses Bloodborne first? You are indeed a man of culture, TA
Grant us eyes! GRANT US EYES!
Yessss so many layers, depth ( both high and low ) to this glorious game. Cant wait
Never been excited by a CZcams vid preview before... Can't wait
Have you watched Charred Thermos’ series as it relates to Sir Sir Arthur Conan Doyle? It’s incredibly fascinating.
Eager to see what you'll dredge up, please keep up the good work!
Let us sit about, and speak feverishly. Chatting into the wee hours of... new ideas, of the higher plane!
Can’t wait for the videos. You do good work.
So glad content creators are returning to this game. There’s so much left to explore and I KNOW the Archaeologist will reveal some crazy new insights. Bless us with blood, TA!
Can't wait for the in depth explanation for the archaeological layers of the chalice dungeons
Oh man this going to be incredible
My long time favourite game!! Thank you so much, I can't wait for future videos!

You sir, are not an outsider. You presence is most welcome. Welcome home.
amazing news. I'm wondering if you guys will give Charred Thermos the credit he deserves and also maybe give his content a critical assessment!
Strap in boys! The lectures are about to get mind blowing!
So wonderful to see this channel soar and prosper❤
Absolutely hyped for this one.
I hope you have watched an old series of Bloodborne lore by Bob the Hollow, he's got some pretty intresting theories regarding Cainhurst history and culture based on contextual analysis and I would love to hear your take on the matter, I cant wait.
Rise my king! Would love to see a spin off episode on the collective works of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and The Last Guardian. Maybe when you get tired of being the best Fromsoft lore diver on the tube?❤
man i wished this so much! thank you!! i started playing BB again its just so good
'The Bloody Archeologist' sounds metal af ngl
Dont often comment. I really enjoyed charred thermos take on bloodborne lore, would like to hear your perspective too. Keep up the good stuff.x
Very very excited to see your perspective
Tonight, Tarnished Archaeologist joins the hunt
Oh baby.
I didn’t know today was going to be nearly this awesome when I opened my eyes this morning.
So so so excited for these additions to your fromsoft archeology collection
YESSSS perfect timing with me literally starting my first playthrough ever yesterday!!
Tarnished archaeologist becomes Tomb Prospector! Our eyes are yet to open
