Why Ronaldo Nazario Left Fc Barcelona?

  • The history of FC Barcelona is full of legendary players like Messi, Maradona, cruyff, Romario, Rivaldo, and the list goes on, but over the years they always find themselves in a circle, which is that they sign a world-class player, he immediately shows his quality, and after a few years a richer club comes along and takes him away from them, this has happened many times and they have never learned the lesson, The last time it happened was with Ousmane Dembele, maybe Dembele’s departure was less painful than the others, because, for example, Ronaldo Nazario was the best talent in the world when he arrived at Barcelona in 96 from PSV Eindhoven, and they signed him for 19.5 million dollars, which was a world record at the time, and just one year they lost him to Inter Milan.

Man...I am old enough to remember seeing that season for Barcelona and a lot of the games live because Sky Sports had the rights to La Liga games but hardly any people had Sky TV back then, but one friend had parents with money and they had Sky in.
So I remember the murmors of this buck tooth bald headed Brazilian kid at Barca who was scoring every game, which at the time was unheard of because the benchmark for a top class striker was 20 a season, 30 if you are top class, but this kid was scoring all the time so we had to see him. So every Sunday Sky would show Barcelona games and we'd all meet at my pals and we'd smoke bongs and joints and watch this incredible player! I'm sure we seen the half way line dribble goal against Compostela live on TV though I'm not certain as we were young and a bit dumb and loved getting stoned and it's all a bit hazy now....But what a player! Like Bobby Robson said "he is the king of Catalonia" and he really should never have left, karma seemed to come back and do him with the injuries, but this video just shows you how meddling agents can control a players career, and for what? A bit more money? He was only a boy still and playing incredible football, I know money is important especially to South American players who sometimes come from nothing but he should have just been left to flourish and the money will pile up itself. Now modern players like Bellingham realise this, I also blame Barcelona as surely you just pay the lad what he's being offered elsewhere and he'd have most likely stayed and he'd without injuries I'm sure would have reached levels maybe never seen even today...

Short answer is money. Massimo Moratti was the original Roman Abramovic and was told about Ronaldo's release clause and offered him way more than he'd ever get at Barca. The story goes the Barca president received a fax saying 18 million had been transferred into the club's bank, thought about it for a minute, and then spend hours on the phone to the bank trying to give the money back but it was too late. He never saw Ronaldo again.

Barcelona has had beautiful players however the Catalan community have a complex of feeling lesser then Castilians. They want to compensate that with constantly saying that they are better and do not need the Castilians. And they desperately want stars to pick them in stead of others, just because they are Barcelona. However a non-Catalan doesn’t feel that connection. So they push away the good players. By not treating them well enough. Except Messi, who got literally everything he wanted and thats why they have such big financial problems now.

Sold him, brought in Rivaldo, Pellegrini, Dungarry, and Kluivert, they won the league for the 1st time since 94, and investments in the academy led to the uprising of puyol, Xavi, valdes, Iniesta and so forth under Van Gaal. Barcelona played him if anything. Barcelona had the greatest player ever and should have did everything in their power to keep him for as long as they could. Maradona was more of an attacking midfield no. 10 whereas R9. was more of a 9. striker. All credit to Pele, Maradona and R9 as they played on a lot of donkey fields but still showed great balance and skill.
They're dribbling ability was amazing and then we got Messi and R7.
Messie has a low centre of gravity where as R7 was more dynamic and powerful.
Theres even a shout for Johan Cryuff and Gazza who were both amazing dribblers.
George Best too and now I'm hearing about this kid Endric. Garath Bale was another super man that came along who was an amazing force for a while winning four Champions Leagues and then the media beat him down and he faded out.

Messi shouldn't have had won a world cup, it looked fixed and set up for him if you ask a lot of people. Maradona had the ref on his side with the hand of God against England. They say that the 78 world cup was fixed for Argentina to win it after their president and his men were responsible for murdering thousands of Argentinian students. They say the world cup was used to bring hope back to Argentina. They say somebody practiced Voodoo on R9 before the Brazil France final which looked like it was set up for France to win. R9 has two world cups and should have had 3 in my book but something did happen to him before that final. A fit Ronaldo would have beaten France on his own. Everybody knew that R9 didn't turn up for that game even though he played. Everyone felt cheated and Ronaldo looked like he wanted to tell the world more but had to keep his mouth shut.

Pele played with greats like Jarainzo, Rivellino, Tostao,Carlos Alberto they would be winning without Pele too. 62 just group stage,Garrincha carried them to final. 58 Pele scored. But if you are arguing WC is reason Pele is best ,then that doesn't make sense. Pele of course scored but was losing possession too much in 58 games and thier best was Didi. 86 the only problem was that hand of God goal. The WC performance of Maradona and Garrincha are levels above Pele. Also R9 was great in 98,but way hyped in 02.
