Dueling misplays/mistakes
15:10 Trap Master was destroyed by Sangan, when it should have survived with 1100 defense
dude seriously the talking in the background is super low production quality even for you
So using the rush recklessly play.. could your opponent still die from that? Thought it was supposed to be like a replay when activating a quick play. And your opponent can decide whether they will continue to attack
@@CVZKING Quick plays during damage step will not allow a retake. However, a spell/trap can only be activated during damage step if it affects the damage calculation, i.e, changing atk/def of a monster. The plays were valid and a retake is not possible.
@@holypriests12 Thanks! I always heard both yes and no for the quick play rule. I was trying to understand
18:11 Your friend didn't do a normal summon/set yet (only special summoned the Gearfried) but was deducted 500 LP when he set the monster after activating Ultimate Offering. But I guess ultimately it wasn't too game-changing cause Neo's 1700 ATK > 1400 LP.
I have all 4 of these decks. The only 2 that are still together though are my Pegasus and Joey decks. The other 2 I dismantled years ago but I still have all the cards from them. I prefer this era of Yugioh because you didn't sit there and watch your opponent draw their entire deck in one turn until they OTK you. Yugioh has lost a lot of its fun because of that.

I mean back in the day people still just ran 3 Gemini elf and then eventually 3 Alexandrite Dragon lol. Also cards like Last Will were annoying lol.

YUGIOH can still be this ; ) You dont have to play modern decks, just play casual with friends... they are stronger yes but im back into YuGiOH since 2005 because these original 4 starter decks!!! YUGIOH: Enter The Shadow Realm is the GOAT.
I only buy old starter and structure decks or decks that dont have the new mechanics to keep it simple. I think its more fun like that. If both players use old weak but fun decks then its all good.
You are really the most hardcore yugioh opener I have ever seen :D. I mean other chanels would open like one 2002 tin or one 2002 starter deck but you do all of them. And it is quiet fun to watch, subscribtion follows!

I remember opening multiples of these starter decks for my birthday/Christmas and honestly wish I kept one sealed lol!
Well this is a nice change of pace! These starters bring so many old memories. Watching you duel with them, then combine them... my little brother and I did that with our (counterfeit) ones. Such a nice video! Don't worry about the quality or the noises, I like it a lot for the content itself. I want to see a few more of these for sure!

Oh my god I remember both of theese, I had them with my older brother and we used to play like the anime, not the actual rules. We were young then so...we didnt actually read the rule books. So when we first saw battle city arc were like Man you gotta sacrifice for monsters now bummer.
To clarify i mean Yugi and Kaiba, though I did get joey's later on, never got pegasus one though.
Now I know you always had to do that lmao. And that lifepoints were 8k not 2k or 4k.

back in the day when I spend my weekends after stressful hrs at school. So nostalgic should have shuffled the entire deck without sleeves and man those paper and ballpen for adding/ subtracting life pts was very OG.

Man... I remember the first time I came to the U.S to visit Disneyland in FL and came across a shop that was selling these decks. This was around 2002-2003. My parents bought me Joey’s deck, and while it sucked, it still held sentimental value to this day haha. I was just happy I got the Red-Eyes and even though I couldn’t read English, I didn’t care 😂
I loved this dude I used to play hardcore up until around the end of the GX era and I really enjoyed seeing these old school cards in effect with all its brokenness haha the good old days

I've been on a nostalgia trip and watching the openings of Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Was hoping to buy the starter decks back but I never really thought that they wouldn't be made anymore, or how expensive they'd be. Makes me sad because I'd love to buy them all back.
I don't know if it helps, or can make you feel any better, or make me feel idiot.
I had every starter and structure deck from Yugi Starter deck 2002 up to Master of Pendulum Structure Deck, plus Tins, Specials and tons of individual cards, all 1st EDITION. In a moment of craziness, i sold them out 2 years ago, in a very humiliating price, cause i didn't know how the market does work. I learned it in the hard way, when i decided to buy again what have i sold. :(
@@slamsoze damn I'm sad to hear that. I was looking it all up and you can buy these gold boxes of reprints(?) with stuff like the Egyptian God cards etc in there too. Might pick them up at some point, but those will probably go up in price eventually too

I do wish the camera angle was top down instead of at an angle, just a nitpick though, something to consider for the future.
Also, for viewers who might not know all the card effects, having a graphic popup of the cards being summoned or activated would help a lot.

Ruxin I think you made a mistake removing the Trap Master in the 3rd Duel. Sangan only has 1000 atk and can't destroy Trap Master with 1100 def.

Seriously though i've seen it asked, how do you fund all these old openings? Its good info for someone hoping to try to do this themselves. Is it sustainable do you have a budget? Would be cool to even see a video on it.
It's 100% loss every time. Given his views/subs he probably doesnt profit much from youtube revenue after subtracting the cost of the product.
He said in a video couple of weeks ago that pretty much all he spends on Yugioh comes from Yugioh which is not too far fetched. Once you got a decent cardpool and trade smart it can pay for itself
@@felixro5884 Smart trading and large card pools still don't help with the fact that selling singles is a very arduous process. 99% of the time big names like this either open their own store and sell to fans (e.g. simply unlucky) or just sell what they dont want at an arranged discount to bigger collectors. Put simply, the time required to make the individual ebay/tcg-player listing to sell these for their full value isn't worth it. That time is better spent for these guys to just crank another video out. Opening product is always PURE loss. People do it for fun. Anyone telling you you can make money from it is delusional lol.
