    I’ve had my 2017 A6 competition s-line with 340 hp. Best daily driver I’ve ever owned. Regularly scheduled maintenance so far. No issues. It’s amazing in our 🇨🇦 winters. I plan on keeping it for 8-10 years.

      How many miles do you have on it so far I'm thinking of buying one like 2013 A6 around 110K is that good ?

    Good point about the transition from 2nd and 3rd generation. Having had a 2010 and 2012 definitely prefer the 2012 and newer. Prestige modes have four zone climate control, yes dual zone for rear passengers. Advertises seating for five but in reality probably four adults.
    The eight speed transmission is much smoother and crisper than the 2010 era six speed.
    Minor changes at least through 2018 are fairly subtle.
    2013/2014 era started the Auto Stop/Start.
    2015 switched to three spoke steering wheel.
    2016 the dual exhaust was still there but the exhaust tips were flared better into the lower fender valance.
    Great video but I will get it out there. I am not a fan of the black exterior and nougat interior. Also not a fan of the panoramic moonroof. I prefer more steel/aluminum and metal protection but that’s me. A6 is a good balance of the styling, performance, and interior ergonomics for the era. One of the better design elements of modern times not cheap but not overly extravagant. Some basic items can be changed by owner with moderate mechanical knowledge and tools, by basic I mean spark plugs, air filters, brakes etc...

    Definitely a car I should’ve looked at getting. Ended up with a 2010 Volvo XC70 T6, but sometimes I wonder if I’d have been better off sacrificing snow and off-road for more on-road sporty handling.

      Reliability is never good on German Cars. Expect expensive maintenance and costly repairs as you get high up in the mileage

    • @tenzinsmith7991
      @tenzinsmith7991 Před 4 lety +11

      Robert Hickman Not true at all. Like any automaker, Audi has made both reliable and unreliable cars. Many people have no problems at all with their German vehicles. You can’t generalize an entire country’s cars like that.

    great video, thanks for the review. can you please advise how good the stock noise insulation is on the C7? i've read many people saying it's leaves a little more to be desired, while lots saying that it is very quite and comfortable inside. how does it compare to the rest of the cars you owned? would be nice to hear your thoughts.

    This is a pretty good spec. Exactly what I was looking for when I buying mine. Unfortunately, I could never find one optioned this way.

    • @prabeeshsidhu
      @prabeeshsidhu Před 3 lety

      Very hard to find these optioned out. I consider myself very lucky to have found a fully loaded with every option on it except the B&O. However, I would not recommend as more things can go wrong and I’d rather like to keep the car for a longer period of time. Hoping all is built well but electronics are always worrisome. I could recommend skipping on the automatic cruise control but I honestly can’t do with the HUD and I believe they come packaged together. Again take everything into consideration before purchasing. Good luck!

    • @DrivenCompanion
      @DrivenCompanion  Před 4 lety +5

      Oil consumption is prevalent among most Audi vehicles but doesn't seem to be a huge issue if you are careful about topping off as needed.

      @MacLaw3084 Před 3 lety

      not just topping off oil but if possible figure out what is causing the consumption if possible. could be pcv, valve cover gaskets, or something else that isnt too daunting to fix.
