  • In this week's video dedicated to competition shooting, Myles the Founder of Tactical Hyve, talks about and demonstrates a common exercise (with many variations) that can help improve your shooting performance.
In competition, you will engage different sized targets at varying distances. Based on your skill level, how fast you engage each target and the rhythm you use can make or break your accuracy.
This simple exercise mimics a number of skillsets that you should be proficient in if you want to perform well at matches.

I started competition shooting last year with absolutely no instruction from anyone. I just jumped in head first and tried to figure it out myself. Still suck at target transitions and speed. This video series has been extremely helpful.

You made it clear at the start. Most folks cannot practice on the kind of range that they might compete on. Therefore, they will always be at a disadvantage. Too many other people with more time and money to compete against. No one I know enjoys taking a beating.

Please make a video about how to design training plan according to our experience rather than going to the range and shooting a target randomly

I have to do live fire training at an indoor range , so I’ll staple up a full size , a mini and a 3” paster on the traveller and that forces me to change cadence while trying to shoot all A’s . If it’s not busy , I’ll take over a couple stalls and set targets at different distances.

Great video. Yes. I'd love to see a video on mag loading and uploading. I was born with Cellebel palsy and I'm having a issue with try to get my index finger to guide the mag to mag well on my pistol. I love to figure out different ways of speed loading
