- I'm Rachel Talbott. Welcome to my channel. Thank you for stopping by. Would love to connect in the comments below. Today we're Mountain Bound and I'm planning and packing for a family snow trip. Here are my top 5 ways to get prepared for a road trip to the mountains.
1. Create A Master List - I create mine in notes and use iCloud to access it through my notes on my iPhone as well. I can add accordingly and as needed.
2. Make A Shopping List- I go through my master packing list and notice what's missing or needs to be replaced. I make a second list that is specifically a shopping list for our trip.
3. Take Inventory & Start Packing- Before I go shopping, I check what we already have and start packing, I add to my shopping list accordingly.
4.Clean & Prep The Car (for the drive)- I like to start a road trip with a fresh clean car, and pack the car after that.
5. Shop For The Trip- Finally I grocery shop for our trip and our return home, and pick up any last minute items for the trip.

I'm like you Rachel, I like to start packing and organizing days before the trip. It takes the stress and pressure off us mom's, because guess who everyone looks to when they can't find something? We want to enjoy the trip too. I see you must have gone before the hugh floods they had in Gatlinburg. Glad you had fun and a truck for all the stuff. Imagine if you were flying?

Thank you for sharing, Rachel! I was surprised that seeing the mountains in your video made me weep! We moved out to the south from the West Coast a few years ago, and snowy mountains haven’t been part of my view since. Gatlinburg looks lovely! 😊

Wears Valley is a great little place to stop at in Tennessee ❤ One of our family favorites! And if you like pottery, Alewine Pottery has beautiful pieces and the BEST coffee mug’s ☕️
Also, Tuckaleechee caverns in Townsend, Tennessee is a fantastic adventure for your family. it is so cool to tour the caverns! We went just this past October ⛰️

lol my husband likes to wait till the last minute and I'm like "I love you, but no. I need to plan ahead or it's chaos and not as much fun" lol
How fun and I love these tips. How has your experience with ticks been? I know I’m the winter they aren’t as bad
Ticks are definitely worse in the summer. I treat the dogs, and if we keep the grass down it's not a huge problem.

I have two wedding rings, one with a diamond and one without. I usually wear the one without, and it’s just preference since I use my hands a lot and don’t like to ding it. We’ve been married almost 18 years, and I love both rings he’s given me. ❤️
