    Nice little grill you have there Koko. Is that charcoal you're putting in there?

      Ya! It’s small, yet very cool littler charcoal grill, with a ventilator inside, that you can use on the balcony. I love that little fella, and it can be washed in a dishwasher!

    Hi Koko! Is the smoky taste the same as an actual charcoal grill or at least similar. Im looking to make turkish kebab with adana and for authenticity you need charcoal and i don't have an outside area for grilling!

      Hi, thank you for the question. In lotus grill you actually use real charcoal. If you want to have a smoky flavor home, just get some dry sticks of your favourite tree next to your house. Put the sticks in a pot, light them up, put a plate with desired meat on top, and close it with a lid. It will generate enough smoke to penetrate the meat.

    How much does one of those cost may I ask?

      Well it depends on a country and on a size. If you live in the appartment with a balcony, my advice will be to get a medium size, since you can put it in a dishwasher. The price in Switzerland is around 130chf (around 130 dollars). I have it for 4 years and nothing happened to it.
      P.s. lotus grill didn’t pay me, I just really like that device :)

    I feel like you should be able to close it completely and not leave that gap at the bottom

    Can i use Japanese charcoal?

    • @KokoCooks
      @KokoCooks  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey, you can use type of charcoal if it’s not made of palms or pines :)

      @@KokoCooks Why can't we use palms or pines? Also can I use wood chips? Does this grill impart a smoky flavor like a typical charcoal grill? I really appreciate all of your answers. I'm so on the fence about buying it!

      Oh it’s easy, palms and pines will generate a lot of smoke, and if your planing to use it on the balcony your neighbours might not apriciate the smoke 😅 other wise you can use almost anything. This is one really solid thing. I’m super happy with it :)

      Also, don’t buy a very small one or xxl one. My advice to you is to get the medium size, so it fits in your dishwasher after all 😉

      @@KokoCooks Thanks for your response. What about the smoky flavor factor? Does this grill impart that smoky aroma?
