Step 1: Update the Ubuntu Operating System
First, ensure your system is up-to-date by running the following command:
sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
Step 2: Install Screen
Install screen, a tool that allows you to manage multiple terminal sessions:
sudo apt install screen
Step 3: Create a New Screen Session Called "Nubit"
Start a new screen session named "Nubit":
screen -S Nubit
Step 4: Download and Install the Light Node Application
Use curl to download and install the Nubit light node application:
curl -sL1 nubit.sh | bash
Extras: Retrieve the Wallet Seed Phrase
To find out your wallet seed phrase, use the following command:
cat $HOME/nubit-node/mnemonic.txt
0:00 Intro

How about if I previously installed and ran Nubit on my laptop, but now I want to move it to a VPS? What should I do? I've already input the public key on the website
Thank you for the amazing video. I am currently running this on my local PC without a VPS. Do I need a VPS for this? You mentioned that PuTTY has to be kept running just like I am doing locally, so what's the benefit of paying for a VPS if I can do the same locally on my PC?
Hey Mate. U can run this on your PC, that's absolutely possible. I personally prefer running new projects not on my local PC due to security reasons

how to check node status
Can I run nubit node with Rivalz node at the same time in my VPS? I already done running the Rivalz node, just wanna ask if its possible? Thank you ser

Hey Fren, just minimize the screen running the Nubit application, using Ctrl+A+D , u can close putty or shutdown your PC . The node will still be running since it's on a VPS elsewhere
ctrl a+ d doest work in putty
I use putty as well and works for me :) try Ctrl A leave the keyboard then press D
Pls how long does it take for the application to run ?
It starts immediately u run the install command
It takes about 15mins after setup before u can claim the credit on the testnet dashboard
Can I exit the putty software after getting the pubkey and other information or after minimizing with cntrl A+D ?

@@theDEPINspirationHUB after running curl It will stop and printed response that says in the last part alphatestnet-1/data/00502.mem: invalid argument
I've been having some issues with the nubit server today as well. Probably u can try later or checkout on discord. I read other users having some challenges as well
