I've been playing this game for a little over 5 years now and no most of every little detail but it is always nice to have someone give it to us laid out nice and easy the way you do you save me a lot of testing hours in game and I appreciate that that allows me to have more fun with the content versus testing everyday for hours on end

Because I don’t speak English, I often use Google translation software to translate, but every time I see the CP point stage, I am very annoyed because of Google. The translated name is different from the name in the game. I have a small request, can it be displayed in the game when explaining the champion points?
I am so grateful for this video, only a few minutes in I am already excited. My poor warden has been doing daily writs for a year and probably does not remember what a weapon is, but I love the idea of having an actual magicka warden, and not the dual wield/2h hybrid mag DDs that all my characters already are. I will finish the video, and give it a try. Thanks for putting in all the time and effort for the players like me who struggle to understand many of the game's intricate details.

What staff do you recommend for Skill Setup #3 (AOE Heavier Boss Encounters) for front and back bar?
Something people often don't think about is using the Willpower 3pc Jewelry, it allows you to wear the Master's staff while also having the benefits from the Maelstrom staff bonus with Wall of Elements.
you can do the master's + maelstrom staff together without the willpower 3pc though. I showed a setup for it in this vid. willpower is okay but i'd love to see the 3pc sets get some love at some point.

I have been using it in different fights but I had a feeling something was off, when checking cmx and logs things didn’t quite add up, but didn’t have time to test it properly. It seems I will need to drop the skill for now (in trials), shame. It is still handy for portal in vSS HM though.

hey skinny, I was wondering how velothi does on the magden? like if i were to have gear setup as velothi, pillar, whorl, 1 pc slimecraw and (malestrom/master depending on switching up for single target/AOE). Was curious since guide on site still says update 38 for this build. thank you :)

I was stuck on choosing between warden and sorc because i want to use velothi (because im "ok" at weaving) and reddit keeps telling me "pick whatever class is more fun" and its not helpful at all! Plus it doesn't help i keep seeing "warden is trash for trials" going around lately. But, I trust your opinion on the matter and you're helpful as always. Im looking forward to the updated build on the site and im even interested in if the format for warden will also include stamina options (as I saw for the sorc's updated page). Thanks again skinny!

I usually only roll a single character, but I started on Sorc and just had to try DK, then Templar. I want to try Warden, but I don't want to reconstruct yet another set of Depths, Relequens, Pillars, or Plaguebreak.
I'm hoping some real variation is coming in future updates.

Yet, i'm still wondering what combination of Gear would be suitable for a Trashbuild on MagDen.
While on other classes i primarily run BSW/Sul-Xan OR Orders Wrath/Sul-Xan I've been thinking to Go Frostbite/Sul-Xan on MagDen,
but not sure if thats the best Combination to go for. BSW/Sul-Xan would work too i assume, but not sure if Frostbite is going to be the stronger Option here.
I think Frostbite would be solid. Not sure if it would beat the options you listed though. Using the frost pulsar as a spam it should be pretty nice though.
What is the add on used here to show the timers on the skills? I have a good one but it only shows the first half of Sub Assault. I like how this one shows both hits on the timer. Anyone with the info please holler. Blessings

Hi Skinny. Thanks again for the top-notch content. Quick question - how much DPS do you expect a frost warden to lose as an Imperial vs a High/Dark Elf? I'm guessing that 2k mag and 258 SD will be around 8-10% damage, but would value your insight. I'm considering a race change (Imperial -> Altmer), but would then probably re-level my warden tank as a Nord. Thank you!
Thanks. Only about 5-6%. Sustain should be nice and the extra health will be nice too though.

Question! Since they updated the staffs to now ignore 2974 resistance and after Tank debuffs the boss. Instead of being responsible for 7017 penetration we now only need 4043?

Why use the charged on front bar instead of precise, isn't your proc chance ultra high with all the passives and you always have chilled anyway?
What do you think Skinny, after nirn nerfs, Is there anything that outperforms it, on magden for pure single target ? Considering that aegis caller is blocked for us.
what spammable would you recommend if you dont have the masters staff? Is frostreach still the go to because of the guaranteed chilled proc?
17:34 What is Guardian's Savagery? I don't see that. I just have Wild Guardian and Eternal Guardian as my morphs. And my blue bear icon is facing opposite of yours.
that's the name of the execute ability it does. you want the wild guardian morph
The build I'm running is almost exactly the same skill wise but I'm using frostbite as my always active and whirling depths on my back bar. Have you done any testing with frostbite?
Honestly I don't 'get it all' but I realize there is a mathematical logical approach in all of this. I play mostly for fun and results. I noticed others play really well which includes their ability to move a lot and move effectively. Which on pc I'm not that good at. Thoughts?
There’s a mix of a lot of that. Ultimately you can take it as far as you want to and you can still get really good results without stressing over every little detail. I just try and provide those little details for those that do want to go that route.
Would you say it’s better than Stamden ? The thing is my Sustain on Stamden is not really so good and also i can’t do damage sometime because of large aoes from enemies so I thought maybe to switch to Magden

Thank you very much for the tutorial! I just have one question: it seems Frost Reach intial hit damage should be lower than cutting dive, almost like half compared to cutting dive. However, with warden the initial damage for both become same. I remember even with frost staff it's still just 10% more, but how does the frost reach intial damage become so high?
The frost reach morph is an increased initial hit compared to the other 2 elements. They buffed it up quite a few patches back.
How are you getting the timer on your Frost Reach to track Destructive Impact 4s timer from Masters Ice?
changed which ID it tracked away from frost reach and to the ID for master’s ice

Very nice guide :), I did have a nooby question tho. For the first setup it states you're using 2 5 pcs sets but I only see 4 pieces listed for set B which I planned on using Pillar of Nirn. Maybe I'm missing something but since theres only 4 pieces will I not be getting the 5pcs set bonus? Tysm in advance.

Why not PAS ice staff when using force pulse? Wasn't it insane damage for dks when the burning tick happened upfront? Wouldn't it be the same for ice staff warden and chilled? Just a thought
Not really cause u could just use a regular charged staff and get similar results and not waste a 2pc

No it’s not very good in pve and would make you need to cast it every 10s

Thoughts on backbarring Vateshran Ice Staff vs Maelstrom? I have asked our Brittleden to run it out of curiosity, as she will be running ele susceptibility. Assuming it stays active when you leave backbar lol.
not very good. damage is worse than maelstrom staff and it makes you have to cast ele susc every 10s

So I tried your set up and I'm really loving it (especially since the update 35 kind of messed my magden up a bit) but, when giving it a go in dungeons I find myself being squishy. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Always can flex in some survival skills as needed. Lotus blossom can be pretty nice for some constant healing.
Wardens are insanely good.

It’s cause you have to light attack 5 times in a row without casting skills
Okay I was testing on the pts and was wondering why nobody used it it can have a very high proc number but now I see the reason why you can't cast any other skills

Not really much would change with that build. Maybe a frost enchant worked in.
heya ty for another very great video. useually a healer/suport player. if running zenkosh in a not so organized group. having to body alkosh and frontbar zen. would u still use frostclench as spammable, when not using masterstaff for single target incounters. or would bird or forcepulse be better?
I’d still use frost clench. However in that scenario you laid out you could easily backbar z’en. Only need to land a light attack every 20s from the backbar and you will easily do that

So many people are missing out on how good the StamDen is this patch. The StamBrittleDen with Pillar Ice is sooo versitile and has so much playability you don't miss the 2k loss in dps at all. The full damage StamDen with Mag Beetles, Serpents Coil and Vateshran Daggers hits as hard as any DK has just as much or more cleave and is overwhelmingly effective in alot more content than you'd think. What's up? All the content creators are doing is trendy builds...

I do not, to this day, have any idea how you manage to sustain this kind of build. Its beyond frustrating. Ive tried literally everything, changed race from high elf to khajiit, still wasnt enough, used ghastly eyebowl to amp up sustain, still not enough, race swappwd to breton for even more sustain and even then i just barely managed to squeak through. What am i missing 😭
maybe check the patch notes since this vid came out as some skills/passives might've been nerfed.
Hey skinny...long time listener first time caller. Stuck at 95k parse and I am a Khajiit as I pvp with this toon too (so no switching) I had to take kilt off as the wasted crit damage was like 165% and went Zaans. I do have two purple rings, broke since returning, your weapon damage is a lot more than 258 (high elf passive) my max is 6753 to your 7457. Champion points are the same, masters perfected, relequin not perfected. Curious if I am missing something? Even with Zaans my crit damage is 141% lol. Took off barbed trap and still at 131% (whose idea was it to have a crit cap lol) I have a weave avg of .169 (I blame a controller and age) so I know I have work there. I will take my answer off air.
Hey. Yeh unfortunately khajiit is a little worse on the dummy cause of the perfect uptimes on all the crit dmg stuff. In actual content they can be neck and neck with high/dark elves cause most groups won’t have all that stuff going and almost never perfectly. I’d say the top end for khajiit on the dummy should still be close to 120k or so. With your gear limitations you mentioned maybe 112-115k. So could just be the rotation. Getting it down as fast as possible. I see a lot of people going a tad bit too slow and therefore losing out on some dmg there.

Sadly it’s weaker than the crit chance
I do like frostbite. It's not the greatest set but it does make the build more unique.
As a tank main I've only actually enjoyed warden frost builds when i play dps.
Do u think frostbite with whorl would be decent for a full frost build?

You can on warden, yes! Def front bar though. Backbar is a bit more flexible
