- In this video I’ll be making a Gar fishing Lure or a Rope lure for gar kind of. I had higher expectations from this lure. Unfortunately I needed to remove the hook because it kept getting caught in the nylon and killing the action but I still managed to get one on the bank, for a second lol.

Great build, but 2 comments, 1 line ur vise with delrin or leather 2 maybe shorten the skirt a bit to prevent short strikes?

Ur bait is awesome, u make me want to try n make one now. The way u make ur baits are inventive and a breath of fresh air. If i ever make one, definitely gonna try n put a treble inside the tail two thirds of the way down.

Not for gar where I'm from...but bass.
Well yeah I mean it’s a jitterbug so definitely a bass lure. But I figured it would be good for gar since it’s topwater and has the nylon for the teeth to get tangled in.
