LOVE your videos, Jordan. Watching Legosi's homes go from the sublime to a tiny apartment in Hollywood seems like the sad legacy of his life. But he'll always be The Count to me:)
Just a note; Lugosi wasn't cast in the film version of Dracula until 1930. The studio didn't want him but relented after their original pick Lon Chaney died.
Thanks for those addresses. Geez, I went past those steps a bunch of times looking for 'Highway Patrol' locations. I have in my notes that Bela Lugosi also lived at 2643 Creston Drive in 1932. Don't remember the source of that.
What a fun vlog and oh my gouda, that was *a lot* of stairs! I can remember watching Dracula on Chicago's WGN's Creature Features when I was little and to be honest, it scared the crap outta me. Love the tie dye shirt, too.
Hi jordan. My grandparents owned this home from the 70s all the way until the 90s when they passed away. I remember playing backgammon with my grandfather in the grand living room and the wood stairs with the cobblestone floors. Those stairs look better now. Funny but scary moment....some drunk homeless guy pounded on the back door on the patio during a rainy lightning storm scaring the crap out of my cousin. I miss that house and all the fond memories. Know it like the back of my hand. It has been remodeled because the wall was smaller outside.
Jordan- Just discovered your channel and really love it- it is my dream to some day go to California and visit some of these places, Great one on Bela Lugosi's home- ever think of researching the actress Helen Chandler who played Mina in Dracula- a great actress and unfortunately forgotten - would love to see one on her. Thanks for sharing. Bob
Kathy Bates and her husband at the time, Tony Campisi, also lived at 2829 Westshire at some point between 1991-1997, the first house Lugosi lived in on Westshire Dr
Jordan is the go to man for Bela info. I never knew there were so many sets of stairs in LA. (watch other vlogs for LA stairs) Today is 4-20-2020, checkout today's vlog, big 420 theme. I have arthritis and could not do the stairs now, but will check them out on my next trip to LA.
So cool!! I'm watching Pet Cemetery!! As I comment!! I love you Jordan my 🦁‼️. You take me to the coolest places!! Thanks bub!! Jahster!!!! All my love to you

When I was a kid and unfamiliar with the Dracula story, I actually thought Bela Lagosi was Dracula's human name. It had this creepy elagence to it. It sounded like a fictitious name. LMBO.

Jordan, all the steps you've walked in these vlogs just seem really exhausting!
I like your videos, can you cover more old Black Hollywood homes and celebrities! Thanks.
Yes! Hattie McDaniel’s home in the Adams neighborhood
Bela Lugosi was quite the mover!

Imagine trick or treating at Bela Lagosi’s house

Laughing Eyes moot
Nice!
You made me tired just watching you go up and down those steps.
So cool. Do you guys out there just go tramping around historic places with impudence?
How many homes did Bela Lugosi have?
I always pictured him living at the Plan 9 house.
silly me.
White ZomBiE is perfect for spookytime.
i think that was actually Tor Johnson's house up in Sylmar.

Bela was born in the Hungarian village of Lagos that is what he took his stage name from. The vampire was a count hence the elegance.
