    Great video made installation very easy and quick
    First time installing of a 2 door took me about 4 hrs but had a great time doing it.

    Checked on Feb 27th 2024, they don't seem to have a version 2 in the works but you can sign up for updates on the website for new products. Like most, I am in the "not buying one that doesn't fold completely back" group. I'd already concede on the slant looking pretty ugly but dealing with it. Shame because I love my Bestop I have on my Jeep.

    That was easy, now show us how to put the hard top back on so we can use the hard top in the winter and the soft top in the summer.

      100% agree! I just ordered this and I’m now realizing that this is going to be a process to get the hard top back on for these Rochester NY winters.

    I really hate this design that it does not fold down and canceling it from my Bronco order. I just want a simple top the goes all the way up, or all the way down. If I am ever start hauling vampires in the back seat and want the open parachute option, which I am sure is great on the interstate, then I would buy this top that only folds down into a bundle up on the upper roll bars

    Can all the padding that is added stay there when you put the hard top back on? How long does it take to take the soft top off so you can put the hard top back on?

      @mawage666 Před rokem +5

      8 months and still no one has answered your question. I'm only commenting to say I was going to ask the same exact question. I wish I had an answer. My guess and this is a complete guess; is that you would have to remove most of the hardware to switch back to the hard top. If that is the case then I might not get it even though I really want it. But being in Minnesota I would definitely want to switch back to the hard top for winter.

      @@mawage666 I was told the actual installation takes about 5hrs the first time around, and 2hrs to get the vehicle back to hard top configuration, but I can only assume the weatherstripping and whatnot stays because that would be ridiculous if you had to remove and install it every time you wanted to swap. You'd need rolls of the stuff on the shelf for it to be worth changing the tops around. I'm right there with you man, I'd love to have this top over OEM, but it really is a shame that so much hardware has to be swapped out between the two tops. Seems like every aspect of the vehicle got way more complicated to tinker with when I got into a Bronco compared to the Jeeps and Blazers that came before it.

    Looks good. Suggestions for V2. Less slant on the rear window. Glass window option. Considering that it does not fold all the way down to the spare tire, no reason to not offer glass as none of the windows will need to ever fold during operation. Perhaps a way to re0use the original back glass as it just bolts onto the factory rear cap, thus retaining factory wiper/defrost.

    Ok great !!!! Now what’s the DETAILS for adding back the MIC-hard top ???
    What stays ? What needs to be removed, fast process? Not worth it ?
    Details for those ppl who like to change during the seasons…..please advise! But overall the top looks beautiful!!!!

    • @michailangelopoulos5602
      @michailangelopoulos5602 Před 2 lety +1

      Does it really matter? As the fabrics get thicker with padding and the hardware becomes more and more complex and tool free, you end up with a huge bulk of folded fabric and hardware at the rear, obstructing the view. Perhaps it is better this way. Look at the soft tops from the JK onwards. These vehicles where never designed to be truly convertible.
      The closest to that was the factory top of the TJ that folded almost entirely in the tub (Bestop even made a tonneau cover for that). But the top was far simpler and the top tiny compared to today's off roaders.
      The main question in my opinion is whether the hardtop can be fitted again for the winter without having to remove and replace all this padding.

      @@michailangelopoulos5602 so I deal with that problem on my JL by simply wrapping two bungee cords around the top when folded down - done that on all my jeeps and the view is fine. This design not only looks whack, my guess is it makes more noise than if the top went all the way down.

    That top looks excellent when closed...But I would remove the table saw looking tubing out of the design except for cross member support...and have the fabric roll on it self like a pick up bed...it would look alot cleaner...Than that big baby stroller shade with the tubing exposed...hanging up while driving...just my opinion...
