    Roger you really go above and beyond the call of duty, the owners of the holiday cottage should offer you a free weeks holiday for the amazing job you did in cleaning their property.

    Thank you! I just bought the very same machine today and watching both the assembly video as well as the demonstration video are very helpful. We receive a few less accessories here in Canada though - no crevice attachment, no measuring cup and 2 sample formulas instead of the 3 you got. Now if only i could clean my carpets in 20 minutes and 1 second! 😊

    I just bought one of these based on your video and the one I got is slightly different instead of two cleaning settings there is now a third Max Clean setting, the clean water tank now just features a normal grey screw top cap and the dirty water tank doesn't have the black plastic cover with the thicker stopper over the top but now just a clear top with a centralised smaller stopper. But saying that this is still one hell of a carpet cleaner. I tried it on my carpet which has only been down since November and I don't wear shoes in my living room and I was surprised at just how much dirt it cleaned up and left my carpet barely damp using the deep clean setting. Thank you for your recommendations and long may you continue.

    Your review of this product helped me decide on buying one. Mine looks identical however being slightly newer it has 3 cleaning modes - quick clean, deep clean and max clean. I'll likely only ever use it on the middle deep clean setting. They are on offer for £199 in Argos and with the included 6 year warranty I'm quite pleased with my purchase. Performance is phenomenal in comparison to my old cylinder style carpet washer. Many thanks for such in informative review.

    An excellent demonstration of what is clearly a good carpet cleaner. There is a noticeable difference in the cleanliness of the carpets. Some kind of recognition or appreciation of your hard work by the property owner would be nice, although if it is managed by a property agent then that is probably very unlikely to happen.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 7 lety +2

      Well to be honest, I quite enjoyed doing it and it's more content for my channel. I also cleaned up their Dyson DC39 and made a video of it, but I doubt they will even notice. I think the owners only stay there a few times a year and they have someone clean it in between guests.

    • @nick2203
      @nick2203 Před 7 lety

      Yes, I can understand that, particularly in the case of the holiday property when the carpet looked visibly cleaner afterwards. I saw your mention of the cleanup video of their Dyson on Instagram. As you say your holiday has provided extra content for your channels, which is appreciated by us subscribers. I thoroughly enjoyed the videos of your walks in the Lake District on Roger's Bits & Doings. Thank you for the reply to my comment and I look forward to future videos.

    Bought this and did a bedroom carpet the other day just to keep it looking nice and new. Used the free pro cleaner product from the box. Can't stand the smell, it's so cheap and pervasive. I cleaned it to freshen it up, but it now just smells of cheap washing powder. It's so out of touch with modern fragrances...
    A week later it's still there. Are there any other Bissell cleaning products that are less "in your face" or more modern, like nice woody notes, etc?
    Could i possibly go over the carpet again with a tank of water and no product, in an effort to try and remove some of the perfume? thanks for any answers ibaisaic.

      Yes, but if they made it bigger, it would make the machine bigger and heavier to use. It would be nice not to have to keep filling and emptying it as much, but that's something I've come to expect from domestic carpet washers.

    Just bought one and used it on a cream rug cut pile my mum had (with black cat) i thought I had vacumed it really well with a Dyson DC03...
    Oh wow... the cat hair it bought out of rug was astounding (pokey flexible cleaner tool a MUST!)
    HOWEVER.... I took it to do my driver's seat in car with the upholstery tool (set machine on plastic and a carpet offcut, as a gravel drive).
    It sprayed and vacumed well (and the seat came up well) but I discovered about half the cleaning solution had discharged through the brush head making carpet offcut sodden, glad i'd not used it inside, now scared too!
    Any clues to what might have happened? Have tried searching forums/FAQ but only getting problems when attached doesn't spray.

    Good job.
    I watched another video and the host added that the attachments from his old machine fits this new machine.
    As for myself, I want to add an idea I want to share with you. My machine didn't come with the edging tool.
    I wanted to ask if you know anything about the pet hair brush that came with mine. It has a clear bowl attached to catch the animal hair. Would you know how to use it.
    I also have on mine a button to push that puts solution on the pet or dirty spots called the presoak. You tap it with your foot. Tap again when you have treated enough.
    I also wanted to mention I have found that cleaning with white vinegar is very effective. When I'm cleaning the dirty water barrell I pour the vinegar in after cleaning. It helps with the smells and extra cleanliness. Then pour vinegar out. If I use the hose and atrachments, while cleaning after I clean the brush attachment I pour the vinegar in the sink, or a large bowl and suck the vinegar in through the hose to keep it fresh and clean. Of course, I do this before cleaning the dirty water tank.
    I hope I helped you a little.
    I sure did learn a lot from you. Thanks.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 6 lety +1

      The attachment with the bowl is a stain trapper. It is designed to pick up nasty messes that you wouldn't want inside the machine. So for example if you are cleaning up after a pet accident, the bowl traps the dirty water as you suck it up and prevents it going through the hose and into the Bissell. Once the bowl is full, you twist it off and dispose of the dirty water. When you have the worst of the stain removed, you can go over it again with the machine in upright mode.

    Helpful review but what was lacking was any insight into the handheld attachment for cleaning stairs and how that performed. I see so many reviews of these machines on floor carpet, fair enough, but precious little serious consideration to cleaning stairs! Bizarre!
    Since it's you're fave cleaner and you own it, could you give some insight on that aspect and whether the stairs attachment also has rotating brushes? Lastly do you know how this machine compares in terms of cleaning performance, flat and stairs, to the Bissell stain pro 10? I'm off to buy something imminently and just can't find this info :=(

    These great Bissell carpet washers seem like very effective cleaners. But I've always wondered how the user should clean and sterilize the machine after use. The Crosswave gives you a way to rinse clear water through the system to cleanse the device. But that seems to be the only Bissell that offers an easy way to clean the brush and fluid pathways. Does Bissell offer any advice to easily cleanse, disinfect or rinse out the washer's inner plumbing?

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 7 lety +3

      You can suck some clean water through the hose to clean it and I believe there is something in the instructions about putting some water down on the floor and then sucking it up. To rinse out the solution tubes you fill the clean tank with water only and let it run through the machine for a bit. Both tanks can be thoroughly cleaned along with the removable front nozzle and I always store the tanks off the machine to let the air circulate.

    • @stiksmommy5079
      @stiksmommy5079 Před 7 lety +1

      I second the air circulation thing! It's very effective to keep things dry so things don't start growing. If the weather is cooperating i like to set the pieces out in the sun for a bit as well. I recently purchased a crosswave and i keep that open with parts stored in the laundry room where they can get fully dry. Then i end up using it again in a couple days anyway so it really never gets stored as a complete unit. When i had regular carpet cleaners i kept those apart for a good week before I'd reassemble the completely dry components.

    I want the one that will make my carpets and coaches clean, easy to use and maintain? And doesn't need spare parts, it's not easy to get them where i live
    Or do you recommend other vacuum and carpet cleaner?
    Thanks in advance

    I'm wondering if I should buy this Bissell or opt for a Numatic George as an all rounder, also wonder how durable the Bissell would be as it looks like the plastics could break easily.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 6 lety

      The George or Henry Wash are certainly more durable than most Bissells, but an upright Bissell will clean your carpets better than a George as it has revolving brushes to agitate the dirt. The Numatics are great for stairs, upholstery and the car, but hard work on carpet.

    Very Informative. I wanted to ask a question. Comparing this with the Bissell Powerwash Premier Carpet washer, which did you find more suitable for cleaning Holiday vacation studios?

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 6 lety

      I prefer the Revolution model as it's lighter and easier to use.

    • @jjva9740
      @jjva9740 Před 6 lety

      The ProHeat @X Revolution; is the cleaning power and suction better than the Powerwash Premier? I really do not care about weight, my main interest in cleaning POWER and SUCTION. Good work on the reviews. I have been watching them. Thank you.

    How do you know when it's time to empty the tank? Do you have to keep checking to see if you've reached the "fill line"? Because when you are focused on cleaning, it will be easy to forget to check on it.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 6 lety

      There is a float valve in the tank that cuts of the suction when it's full.

    • @vlt2322

      I know, but how do you know when the suction is cut off? Do you feel it?

      You hear and see it. You hear the tone of the motor go up and you see that the machine isn't picking up any water through the clear head.

      Make sure the dirty water tank is properly located and the cap that covers the hole where you empty it is in place. If that doesn’t work make sure the front nozzle is fitted properly.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 6 lety

      You have to undo several screws to get the brushes out. The details will be in the instruction book. If you haven’t got the instructions, I think you’ll find them on Bissell’s website.

      @sp1es Před 4 lety

      @@ibaisaic Bissell when emailed the question actually recommended the StainPro4, I'm not sure even they understand their own product range. Is separate clean and dirty water tanks preferred over the bladder reservoir?

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 4 lety +1

      I prefer the Revolution as it has a slimmer head and two rows of brushes, plus it’s easier to clean, especially if you get the pet version. The bladder system on the Stain Pro makes it harder to clean the dirty water container but it is more convenient to fill and empty as you only need to take one tank to the sink. The Revolution is noisier and when the clean tank is full, heavier in the hand, but that’s the one I would go for.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 7 lety

      My Mum has that Vax and it is currently with me so I can give it a good service and find out why it's not picking up much water. I prefer this Bissell over the Vax as it seems to dry the carpets better and is more convenient to use. I would keep your Vax until it blows up.

    • @ibaisaic

      The owners probably only visit the cottage a few times a year and I guess they employ a cleaner to get it ready after each guest. The absence of the big stain from near the door may be noticed.
