Note about the AC: The watts it draws depends on how hot it is outside. When it's in the 90's, it draws about 700 watts and does not last for 24 hours.

Can Do Sarah, you will find that your all wheel drive van will handle driving in snow or in the mountains way better than an all wheel drive Jeep pulling an Airstream. But, when it comes to changing out the tires, all terrain tires are made for off roading and really won't provide you with the same smooth comfortable ride that an all season radial will. I'm guessing less than 10% of the miles you will drive will be "off road", so, I'd reconsider "all terrains". When you mention raising the van, what do you hope to gain? That vehicle already has a high center of gravity and raising the van will only raise the center of gravity. The negative is driving on the highway with a cross wind will be easier with the van lower to the ground. It's also easier to get in and out of the van at it's current height. Ok, I'm done sounding like a father. Happy motoring. -D

I've been watching van build videos for awhile. It's a dream of mine to own one some day and travel! So far, this is my FAVORITE build I've seen. The aesthetic, equipment, technology, use of storage, swivel seat, etc. There's so much smart, thoughtfulness that went into this build. Plus, I LOVE that you have an actual bathroom inside, with the option of indoor or outdoor showering!!
What was the reason you did not go with an induction cook top? From past videos you mentioned you were in the medical industry. Do you work at a hospital? if so do they allow you to boondock during your 12 hour shifts?

I absolutely LOVE the pocket door! My #2 must have is a pocket door between the cab & living space.
There is a way to charge the 10kw battery at a EV charging station 2 hours from 0% to 100%. The charging could cost $1.4 or free at a level 2 charger.
Yes! Please test the per-shower water usage! It would be great to know how long it takes the shower to dry. Do you have to leave the door open, and is there a way to secure the door so it stays open?

Love this! So many thoughtful additions. Rue’s den looks so cozy. I like the space for food bowls and storage bins. You even put in a fan for Rue. 🐕🦺 The shower door is beautiful. Great small touches like plants, pampas, and pictures. 🪴 🖼 You and Lauren’s design made the van a home. 🤍

I have been doing the same, watching 100's of van builds over the last few months. This one is fantastic! It's the first one I've seen that doesn't have a hydraulic bed that I would actually consider. It's so well thought out, and I love her style.

I love your new home!! I just went full-time in a Ram 6-mos ago and am really interested in your choice of the INDEL A/C as I was looking at a competitor. My Road Dog buddy Lucky is basically a mini-Husky and as we get into Summer, I'm also a bit concerned about his comfort despite having 2-Fans, and planning to stay North as much as I can. After you have a bit of time using this system, would you PLEASE (!!) let us know how effective you find it? You're the only one I "know" of so far that has that installed....Rock On, You made many smart choices with the outfitter! I've seen many of their conversions featured, and they're always good stuff, like yours!! :)

i am a constant viewer of vehicle and tiny living in general. Unfortunately, there's no van life in Barbados. Your build is one of the most impressive, well thought out, including for the dog and interiorly designed that i have seen over the years. Your choice of apparel and your ability to articulate yourself only adds to the viewing experience. While it must cost a bit more than some, it is always good to see what can be. Here's hoping for a bright future ahead for you, as I follow.

Why did Progressive require a built in microwave?
Does having a built In microwave or oven make it a RV not a regular passenger van?
How does that determine what type of insurance policy you must buy?
Is there a price difference on your insurance because you live in it? TIA

You explained everything so well, there’s not much left. I was hoping you’d explain the dried grasses & the hanging greenery in back too. It’s those little touches that make it homey. Also, originally you were going to get an induction cooktop, if I remember right. Why did you change? I’m super excited for you & Rue to have new adventures! Also good luck with your new job! Hi Sarah, great tour! Awesome build, that's an amazing bathroom for a van. Good call on going with the large batteries, that's an impressive AC run time. I also like the large water tanks, that's similar to my 23' Airstream. The real game changer is having that extra bed area, most vans only seem to accommodate 2 people, with this one there would be room for me, my wife, and kid.
Im hoping to do this later on myself!! Great that others are thinking the same.🤗

It’s beautiful. You look so happy. Lots of special touches. One question - what type of toilet? And one comment/suggestion. You should consider trying an induction cooktop. With all your power it would work great (we have less and ours works.) It would save you (and the environment) from having to worry about those little green canisters. Thanks for the tour! Yours is the first time I have seen d outside happy hour table where d flip brackets are used. Very smart. I always thought using some kind of chord to support d table is flimsy and not sturdy enough. Using d flip brackets is genius and I will definitely steal that idea😅
Wow your van is absolutely gorgeous! Love the shower/toilet room and it's door! The sink, refrigerator and microwave are all great! also the dining area and Rue's bed are fantastic as well as your bed! Couldn't ask for anything more it's simply the best!
