    Bought a yellow car years ago thinking it was the most beautiful car I’ve ever seen, and sold it 6 months later because I couldn’t stand to look at it anymore. 😎👍

      Ha! Very funny. My son has a 1971 Corvette convertible that is yellow and he loves it. I’ve always liked the color yellow. Definitely a different color for a motorcycle. Thanks for watching!

    I have done 8,000km on my Nightster Special and love it . Only downside is fuel range but still better that an older Sportster.

      I can see why you love it. I have had plenty of motorcycles with limited fuel capacity and that really never bothered me. Just plan for it and it’s always good to take a rest and gas break ever couple of hours anyway. Ride safe on your cool new Nightster Special!

      @GA Ramblin Man l unfortunately dropped it 2weeks ago along 3 other bike due to a slippery road . Will be off the road for a month or two waiting for parts . Will be fitting mini apes while it is there as bars and risers need to be replaced anyway.

    I happen to like the Nightster. Would love to try one and wind the gears out. From what I've seen it's happiest at higher rpms

      Yes it definitely has a lot of torque in the higher rev ranges. It was a very fun bike to ride. Very un-Harley like but a blast.

    Cool looking bike. I have never been a big fan of the side pipes like that on any make of bike. Just never liked them personally. Maybe Tonka Toy Yellow? lol

      All my Tonka trucks were red! Wish my mom would have kept them. I saw a CZcams video about restoring old rusted out Tonka toys. Guy did a great job of restoring them.

    It's surprisingly quick for a 975 cc., especially for a Harley. I think it have around 30% more power than the old 1200. With a slip-on it will sounds better. It won't sound epic like an Evo Engine but it can sound kinda like a Ducati V2 which is still acceptable for me.

      @GARamblinMan  Před rokem +3

      I’ve never ridden the older Sportsters but I’m pretty sure it has way more power and torque than they did. It was quick and light. I liked it.

    Seems like a decent bike, but I think Harley-Davidson is asking five or six thousand to much.

    • @GARamblinMan

      I agree the price seems to be on the high end for this type of bike, but they have put a lot of electronics into it from the cruise control to the traction control and riding modes plus the bluetooth compatibility of this tft infotainment type display. Obviously trying to appeal to a younger and more tech savvy customer. I guess actual sales of this model at this price point will tell the tale. I was talking to one rider yesterday who also rode it and he made the comment to me that maybe Harley put too many high tech gizmos on the motorcycle and he missed the simplicity of the older Sportsters. I think he may have a point. Thanks for watching and commenting! Ride safe.

      @@GARamblinMan I guess you are right. I tend to like the traditional and less electronics in a bike.

    I get that H-D had to retire the old Evo motor. I just wish they would have made something closer to the old Sportster. I probably wouldn’t get anything that small, anyway…hopefully they do sell well. Shame the weather didn’t cooperate this coming weekend. We’ll have to get lunch in Lake Lure soon.

    Yesterday I took a 2023 Ultra Limited for a test ride . I think this will be my next bike, coming off 2019 bought new 2020 C50 day bagger.

      Definitely a little larger than this Nightster. Thanks for watching!

    I don't know sir. For a second bike comparable to the nightster you could buy a different brand new and save a ton of money.

    • @GARamblinMan
      @GARamblinMan  Před rokem +2

      The price is a little high for a second bike. I’ll check out all the other options like Indian, Triumph, Kawasaki and Honda. I know there are some less expensive options out there. Thx for watching!

    First of all are you having a demo ride about the street bob or are you just talking about your metric bikes ? Second of all flip through the mode button on the left handlebar and you will find the RPM on the digital readout !

    I watched this because I like watching you and your style of making videos.
    However this motorcycle is not for me. Give me the old Sportster any day. Thanks Mr Ramblin Man.

      I need to get out and test ride one of the old Sportsters and compare them with this new model. The sound of the Evo motor is certainly better. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ride safe.

    Looks kinda plastic and cheap, I prefer the more metal type offerings, progress doesn't always quite work.

    Where did nc stoney go ? Why did he delete his content , makes me sad , are you still friends?

    • @GARamblinMan
      @GARamblinMan  Před rokem +1

      He’s still around and I talk to him pretty regularly. We still get together and ride once or twice a year. Last year we went up into West Virginia. Great trip. He says he doesn’t have time for CZcams and has pretty much disappeared off this social media. He has been super busy at work. I’m retiring at the end of this year. I figure 50 years of working non-stop is enough. Take care! Love your Jeep Gladiator by the way. Very cool and I know it’s just a Jeep thing!
