Yeah, I always end up thinking this, because most of the time you want to draw a coffee cup, you want it in a scene. Of course it looks a little out of place as a stand-alone thing. The artist rendition typically has the same level of technical skill but just has a face added into it, and is a standalone piece. It isn’t really fair to compare things that are meant to be part of a scene and things that are meant to be scenes themselves.
