The Senate picks the Supreme Court justices. The root of the problem is there:
1) remove the electoral college
2) use rank choice voting
3) Senator voting power is the % of their states contribution to the national GDP
4) mandatory independent commission to draw district lines for all states
5) remove money from politics, ie, Citizens United, lobbyists, etc
6) tax religion
7) make Puerto Rico a state
8) make DC apart of Maryland
9) retirement age at 65 for all politicians
10) all political candidates must pass a background / mental health evaluation, including tax information.

Totally agree. Some of these extremists actually went after Chick-fil-A for this stuff. When in truth the company is literally following the federal regulations on equal rights for all citizens concerning hiring practices. When I heard that it floored me. Even my teenage daughter was wondering what was up with that.

We history nerds knew fights in the Senate and House have happened before but given the period of time the last physical they last happened in, we all have been a bit alarmed today lol then again, after Jan 6th I thinkt he whole country has mostly been surprised it didn't happen before

The fact that it required the publication of the ProPublica article to compel the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to implement an ethics code is not only insulting but also deeply troubling. What compounds this issue further is the glaring omission of any clarity regarding the enforcement mechanisms for this code.
Exactly, what use is an ethics code with no enforcement and no way for people to report suspected violations? Where’s the request for Congress to create an Ethics Official for SCOTUS?
It doesn't matter does it. They're going to re-elect Trump, and then the Senate will impeach the three remaining liberal judges for... "reasons". Heck, when Trump declares Marshall Law he will disband the Supreme Court. And yes, I know you think I misspelled Marshall Law but when Trump tweets it, he'll say "to protect loyal Americans I am declaring Marshall Law", and when people laugh at him about the spelling mistake Trump will issue an Executive Order changing it to Marshall Law permanently and in any written historical records and anywhere it appears on the Internet. I'm just saving CZcams time with the Search and Replace.

This code of conduct is fine but how are they going to enforce it?
The Supreme Court still has no ethics _enforcement,_ so while the rules are more clear, there’s no punishment for any violation. And there’s no mechanism to report a suspected ethics abuse or request information on suspected violations. This thing is going to be violated more often than the Ten Commandments.
Rules without consequences aren't rules.

How is SCOTUS itself now part of c&b? I was taught growing up that the 3 branches were supposed to keep things fair; now it’s just whatever party shouts the loudest and judges are just political appointments. Disappointing
