I like how Ali Abdaal in one of his current videos said that he is considering of returning back to medicine after one year of hustling around with CZcams as a creator.. He says the same, that he misses the feeling of passive interaction between co workers and patients... But now that he is a established CZcamsr, he would consider working 2 days per week as a junior resident and dedicate the remaining days on CZcams
Thank you for sharing your story! I work in business and have been debating a career change, so this discussion has given me a lot to think about. Glad to see that Justin is doing well and enjoying life after taking the leap!
US PGY1 here-- never heard of the term "clerking" (?clarking lmao) used 😂 we would however "see the patient" instead (all elements implied--cc, hpi, ros, meds, allergies, fhx, shx, and physical exam), and subsequently "staff" the case (i.e. present the case with one's assessment and plan) with a higher-up/chief/attending
it's unsurprising we use different medical terminology
