    The operator feeding the chipper must sleep with that machine. Grabbing the one's that don't fit or fall within a heartbeat.

      Better of what they do on crown land. All this big hardwood tops stay in wood. It s a shame to see this in NEw Brunswick

    Gotta say - I miss the old days when such leftovers from a logging operation were left lying in place. In addition to providing nutrients to the forest floor, the stuff provided tremendous cover for the wildlife and helped provide the new growth some protection also.

      Yeah, and also provided a ready source for wildfires. It's better to reuse it for something worthwhile rather than leave it be.

      I think you have to imagine in terms of tonnage. If you leave the tops and branches, you have to cut that many more trees down to meet demand.

      Description says 22 min. Bigger chippers can fill a 53' chip trailer in 10-15. Bandit advertises there biggest one can do it in 7 min. Crazy isn't it?
