    Installing a K&n on mine from years of tuning and racing k&n and aem was always and still is the best. Cai is just backed by gm and that does not make it better. I think k&n been in the game longer and better in my experience.

    This is one mod that I'm on the fence about. But if you say thew throttle response is better then I think it's worth it. I would do the GM intake as well for the warranty alone. Don't forget the tune GM provides too

  • @twiceonsundays
    @twiceonsundays Před rokem +2

    K&N because no tune + fast shipping. Very easy install, and it sounds great! Very aggressive intake sound when on the throttle. Exhaust note seems slightly deeper due to the extra air being brought in, and yes, you can actually feel the increase in response. I don't know if I believe an exact number of hp gained, but I do know that anything less than 10 and you won't feel it. You can feel the increase here, so it's definitely more than 10. I think 15-20hp is fair to claim. This is a great first mod. Doesn't really matter if it's GM, K&N, or Rotofab.

    i just installed the gm intake on my 2020 and it has made a big difference in sound. i went and had gm install the tune since mine came with some paperwork with a code on it to get them to add it for no cost to you. i will tell you it was worth the wait and scheduling an appointment with service at the dealer cause now not only the throttle response is there but also the but dyno feels an increase as well. go get the gm tune if you can it is worth it.

      @@The.Monkey The tune voids powertrain warranty correct?

    • @The.Monkey
      @The.Monkey Před 4 lety +1

      @@ClickClan100 not when the dealer does it. The GM Official CAI Kit is covered by a 3 year 36k mile warranty. When you have a dealer install the re flashed factory CAI tune since the maf is moved further away from the throttle body. This will give you better throttle response and is worth it if you have the paperwork. If you did not buy the GM kit and if it is tuned on a dyno then I would think in most cases they would not cover powertrain components with the factory warranty since it is not a factory tune. Hope this answers the question well enough. Have a great day.

In the coment section of your Video "TOP 5 THINGS I HATE about my CAMARO SS 1LE" you and many other people were talking about a problem with the second gear. I didnt realy understand what it is about? Is it crazy anoying? Would you recommend a manual or an automatic? Actually I would like a manual on this car more.

      The GM comes with the warranty information and code for the dealer to retune it at no cost if you installed it yourself. I went with the GM because it keeps my warranty. Didn’t notice any difference in it other than it did feel stronger than the factory box. The top comes off with the three screws that you only give them a half turn and they are unhooked. Then you can clean the top of the lid and the filter or change the filter. Very easy to install.

    To keep your 5 year power-train warranty from GM, install the GM Performance Cold Air Intake 8453183 for about $450. Other cold air kits will void the warranty. For 10 more hp, install the aFe Power 46-34011 Throttle Body Spacer for about $160. Then install a Borla ATAK 11923 for about $900. Now you have 480 hp not 455 hp.

    Hey! Great video. Addressing all I was wondering. But that repetitive music was so annoying. I had to watch this in 3 minute bits just to build up the patience to continue on. I know it's stock music. But for the love of the engine gods please pick something that has a little more variance at least

    Dear
    followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who
    buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into
    the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service,
    the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a
    malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help
    will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep
    your money safe.!!!Share so more people don't get screwed.GM is a big bluf
