I Have found hundreds of these in Japan Japanese and Chinese, Japan using the Chinese before the 1600's
Just got one today from the 1500's Looking for my first BC, Been found here in Okinawa, but very rare , my oldest is from the 600's I do believe , most are the 1600's Japanese O'kanei Tsuho
A knife coin would be nice
Thanks for the info , come for a dig someday
Oh that sounds like a fascinating place to be.
Enjoyed watching the video. I have several of these my self but they're such a huge pain to research. Even with that it's so fun to see a series so alien to what we usually collect, with there being a hole in the middle. Anyways thanks for the vid!
Cool. Thanks mate. The best online catalogue is www.zeno.ru they follow some of the catalogues categorisation. There are way too many varieties with these coins.
Very informative! Well done
Thank you, if I missed anything, please let me know.
he abdicated in order not to rule longer than his grandfather Emperor Kangxi. Qianlong father was YongZheng who only ruled for 13 years .
Yes I read Wikipedia articles on Chinese history.
Very informative. I've been seeing them on my travels. If I got a coin with some of the middle missing, I would feel ripped of!! I like coins that are whole!! Thank you Glen!!
Thank you. The hole is so they can string them together.
@@Gumardee_coins_and_banknotes Fair enough.
Okay but imagine your just walking down the road in like the 1800s and you see a ton of coins lying on the ground. You try to stuff your pockets but the weight is too much for your pants to stay up. You grab a fiberous plant from the side of the road and fashion a crude rope, you slip it through each of the coins and tie the reed to finish the loop. Not only are you now totally mobile with tons of coins on your person, you also have a makeshift wallet on a farmers budget.
Nice info.about Chinese coins.godbless
Thanks, you too!
I have alot of coin like this,,,by they way in bali we used this coin for ceremony
Oh interesting. What ceremony do you use them for?
My father-in-law gave me two old Qing Dynasty coins. I keep one at home and one on my key ring. If I recall correctly, they're supposed to keep the spirits of the dead away from your home.
Oh the fortune coins. I do not know much about them. I will read up on it.
The coins of the first five emperors of the Qing ARE the fortune coins, although the reign of Jiaqing was not that great.
It is a coin worth the treasure.
All coins are treasure.
Hi! “Qing” is actually using Chinese pin yin pronunciation. Should sound more like “Ching” Long. Cheers! CP
Thanks mate.
“Ching” is how you pronounce the dynasty. Actually Qianlong should sound something like “tianlong”
its "Qian Long" mate as written on the coin casing. all your pronunciations are totally off. its saying "chicken" as "kicken"
"Qian" can be pronounced as "Chein" and that is the correct pronunciation.
Meron po ako ng KATULAD ng coins na IYAN isang PIRASO lang po ito, from Philippines.
I have 1 big and 1 small like that, were can i sell this?
Are they weight heavy in a string and what would be a good price for bulk
For common coins, $2-3 in bulk is good. Those they find in string are in museums.

It's gold ? Or not
China never issued gold cash coins. So these are brass or bronze.

They are either fake or grave offerings.
This was almost a good video. Your misuse of the term "actually" ruined your presentation. Remedy that and you have the makings of a useful channel.
Good luck.
