Thank you Numisman. My favorite Chinese coins for collecting are the pre-1949 varieties. I am always blown away when seeing the quality of the craftsmanship, and the prices that they bring. Many of todays offerings had exquisite tonning. My own little collection is humble by comparison. However I did have one piece of hatchet money from the warring states period. Unfortunately it was quite fragile and broke one day to my great dismay. This video has given me hope that at some point I just might find another. Thanks so much.

My CZcams video is a "double dragon and lotus flower coin and 1/2 sen" can you tell me if the double dragon coin is Chinese or Japanese?
Can't really make out the copper coin, but it is definitely a Japanese half Sen coin. They were minted from 1873 to 1888. Well 1892 as well, but that wasn't for circulation so it doesn't really count.
The copper-nickel coin(not silver- sorry) is a coin from Japanese occupied China. The China-Japanese puppet states from the 1930's The coin you have is a Chiao or 10 Fen coin. These were minted from 1933 to 1939. Your coin displays the ruler name as Ta-t'ung year three meaning it was struck in 1934.
The puppet state era is a little known bu interesting part of Asian history if you'd like to read up on it. Either way I hope this helps. Thanx for watching!
