*MediEvil HD Remake* on PS4 was great, but *MediEvil: Resurrection* on PSP was good too.
In fact, this version oughta be good on Switch.
Is it just me or are these Hall of Heroes scenes 1000x more charming than the ones in the 2019 remake?

Charming probably isn't the right word, but comical, yes. Resurrection upped the silliness to 11.

Personally, I like it better with Daniel talking to them through their statues, and only seeing their spiritual forms when he's granted permanent residence there. (Though I hate that the ending still shows him as a skeletal corpse instead of a spirit like them - that would've been the best time for the developers to show what he looked like when he was alive.) But to give credit where it's due, they did greatly improve Daniel's dialogue in this version. The original and remake had him say, "Oh no..." or "No... I do not" at some pretty strange times.

it was so cool to see all the cut scenes like watching a movie

I see this game as a more comedic version of the original and for a psp game it's a great game.

Good chunk of you comparing these encounters with the versions on the remake.
True, they could have at least mixed and mashed these encounters or even give the statues of the remakes some additional animations. However, I do believe everything in the remake was left exactly the way the PS1 version left it was souly out of respect for the source material. I'm ok with both versions but the remake both reminds and introduces to gamers old/new the charm and simplicity the PS1 version had.
Either way, it's all a great nostalgic trip. :)

Not the best version of the game but arguably had the best hall of heroes. Wish they'd have taken some parts of Resurrection in to the 2019 remake.

total disagree. It feels completely out of place in medievil universe.
The animation of the games looks more like a mid 2000s Dreamworks, Disney or any straight to dvd computer animated movie.
I love this version more not like on ps4

Woden's Brand is still the best weapon in the game though
well, game is pretty easy :D my fav was probably axe

i always found it lazy that sturnguard was holding a silver shield but gives you a gold shield a mistake i'm guessing like an overlook when making the game the ps1 version got it right haha

I played this game on psp when I was a kid. Recently downloaded the remake for free on ps plus and I was so disappointed with the hall of heroes. I feel like a lot of the charm, which primarily came from the over the top and silly animations, is just gone from the game. Even the narrator talking about the location before each mission is gone and he alone added a lot of charisma. Just feels so empty and boring in comparison.
