Kind of but Nathan isn't in a position to be a wingman. I unintentionally got thrown into being a wingman by a friend once and I have no idea what he was thinking. A 25 year old socially awkward dude that has never been in a relationship and doesn't understand flirting or really even dating is not a good wingman if you were wondering.

Im not old enough to go to these types of things but yeah this definitely hits a little to close to home. I’m pretty ugly and I’ve been openly told by girls I’m ugly. Straight up kills your confidence and makes you despise anyone who tries to enter your bubble. Then I constantly compre myself to others including friends wondering why my life is so far south in comparison to them. This way of thinking has kept me socially isolated for close to half a year now, and I’m still unable to make friends with this growing jealousy. I can’t break out of it, and my acne is even worse then when I was being judged by girls. It’s a grueling cycle, it really is, and I can’t gather a momentum shift to break out of it. It also doesn’t help that I now have a good amount of mental disorders now to my name as well, it just adds to the difficulty.
As someone who's wasted their teen years due to locked in life that was induced by anxiety, all I can say is that, even if you can't find it within yourself to branch out, cherish and focus on the hobbies that you do have, so long as they're healthy of course. There's nothing I wish to change more about those 12 long years of utter waste than to just sit down, and focus on what I love, instead of washing it all away on short term relief dopamine hits (addictions, pvp, yt videos, ect ect). I still fall into this cycle, but I'm trying hard not to. Take control of what you can.

It's actually not bad if you miss be desperate. I was done trying to find a girl and a good job, after a lot of self reflection I realized that those thing were not for me.
So I got a summer job on a fire lookout, I was alone for 3 months and it was great, while being alone you don't have to bother about your looks, your awkwardness, etc. You can be you, no restraints. If I could i would live my entire life in that lookout, unfortunately it was a one time job.
