I am Scottish and I still cry hearing the bagpipes I live on a small Scottish island and we have our own bagpipe band that travels all round the world islay pipe band if anyone wants to listen to them they are fantastic . I love sitting in my garden and can hear a girl up the road practicing love it my child falls asleep listen to them so soothing
Island? ???? dont u call it islay - and which one is it are you on? have the merrie dancers come already?
Aislinn I am Irish and I find the pipes deeply moving. No better sound particularly massed pipes bands.
Irish American here, and I'm about to start learning the Pipes! Maybe even the Drums!
I love bagpipe music, it's wonderful.
Why would someone lie on the internet?
My mom came to Canada during the war and as I sit with her on her last days I hope the pipes help call her home. Love you mom
The pipes evoke something so deep and primal, I can’t put it in words. It’s like the voices of hundreds of years worth of lives lived speaking to me at once, filling me with every aspect of human emotion ever experienced. They are joy, sadness, suffering, pride, awe, glory, and melancholy all rolled into one!
man, you describe perfectly what I feel when i hear pipes.
Marty Frolick, wonderfully stated. I play the pipes and people often chat with me and try to describe how the pipes make them feel and I try to explain it as well and fail to do so. This does it beautifully. Do you mind if I borrow it? I would appreciate it greatly. Thank you.
@@kennethhill391 thanks Kenneth! Use it anytime you like!
@@kennethhill391 It's all yours!

We’ll ladies and gentlemen. I trust you are all enjoying this fine piping. The early tunes are actually beautifully played Irish songs such as Star of the County Down no less. Accordingly, Celtic Tunes on the Bagpipes is correct. my mind reflects an image of sitting looking over the Irish Sea from the Glens of Antrim toward the Mull of Kintyre as the tune is being played and no less the Flower of Scotland. Definitely one of the nicest collections I listened to and enjoyed. To us Celts the Bagpipes provides a mixture of feelings from relaxing and quiet tear in the eye, such the one playing right now namely the Glens of Antrim being from Ballymena to the more traditional Scottish military style tunes such as Scotland the Brave that create the aggressive temperament, when the pipes combined with the drums, then back to the lovely but sad Irish songs such like as She Walked through the Fair, which brings a a different tear to the eye, for persons who know the words. Good night a god be with you then one and all. Special thank you to the Pipers and drummers and the person who posted this collection on uTube.
Long live Scotland! Greetings from Serbia! Beautiful music!
Peace brother ✌🏼🏴🤠
The bagpipes definitely resonate with the soul in so many ways.
Am neither Scottish nor have a drop of scottish culture in me...but i ❤️ bag pipe tunes..
Love from India🇮🇳❣️❣️
Bagpipes were originally Egyptian i believe then traveled to india, where the scots who served in british army braught the idea home and the became the hone of highland bagpipes conpetitions were done between the clans… as far as im aware could be wrong… but irish elbow pipes are closer to the original
We know you have pipes in India!
Indian languages (specifically those descended from Sanskrit) come from the same broad family tree as most European languages, including Scottish and Irish, I feel there must be a common link between the two. We may be disconnected by distance, but we all are brothers and sisters. Much love from an American of scots-Irish descent, may you have much fortune and happiness.
India has its own Pipes and Drums core as do the Gurkhas
Not Scottish at all but listening to this music I see why Scottish people are fighters and big heart Brave Hearts!
You don't have to be Scots to be a Kelt
The Scots actually came from Ireland and migrated to what was then called Albania. They annihilated the Pics and renamed the land Scotland after their goddess Scots.
The Welsh, Cornish, Irish, Manx, and even the English are Keltic. The Galatians in the Bible are ancient Keltic people. And the Tarshish in the Old Testament are the beginning of our race.
Germanic, Saxon, and Danish people are closely related cousins to the Kelts.
Are people were first called Keltoi by the Greeks. That is where the name Keltic comes from. People who pronounce Celtic, Seltic are wrong. It is for the mispronunciation is why I spell it with a K.
Bagpipes are instruments of war. They are meant to inspire courage, and bravery. They inspire that and so much more. If you love bagpipes you are a romantic, passionate person. There is Keltic blood in your veins. We are poetic, and philosophical people.
Keltoi gu Braugh!
@@LyraKeltica61 That's beautiful thank you for sharing and had no idea it was pronounced wrong. :c

I am as black as they come 6ft 2 245 lbs. I grew up on jazz and I looove the bagpipe, I remember when Payne Stewart died I cried like a school girl hearing the bagpipes at his memorial on the golf course. what a gift this instrument is! perfect for meditating on life.
I'm Chinese, having lived in the UK for a year. I listen to Scottish bagpipe whenever I felt nostalgic to the week I spent travelling around Scotland! From Edinburgh to the Isle of Skye to St. Andrews...Miss those carefree days😭 Wish I could come back to Scotland someday
There is no more beautiful sound than the pipes.
I agree completely with you on that.
Creepy
The pipes are beautiful no doubt about that.
except maybe a bag of cats being drug behind a car down a gravel road.
True
I am an Indian and love music. When I visited Edinburgh in 2015. I heard this music - live in the Parks and on the streets. Have fallen in love with Bagpipe. It is out of this world - it makes it all the more lovable when played by people wearing Scottish outfit. God bless.
😢😢😢😢😢😢
Just love this music, wish I could visit those beautiful fields on Scotland hills.
I too have Scottish ancestry and the skirl of the Pipes stir my soul!
They calm me in this time of the Pandemic and so much racial and cultural discord.
RIP nanna and grandad Mcquade..I will love you forever my flowers of Scotland 💔🏴🥺
I am Australian, but I have Scottish blood and I love bagpipes. I like to say they speak to my "Deep ancestral soul". Basically I feel a part of me come alive whenever I hear them that is the Scottish blood deep within me. I must be the only teenager who's favourite kind of music is bagpipe music 🤣
I call it DNA music....yep goosebumps...i have Scottish Irish and Welsh DNA in me...i am Canadian
I'm sorry but you're not the only one haha
Also Aussie and exploring my recently discovered Scottish & Irish Ancestry. I have always appreciated Celtic music, especially bagpipes (love a good bit of Scottish pipes 'n' drums).
Aye they may take our lives 'but they'll never take our FREEDOM
I literally feel the same but i am a tennager from México and i don't know exactly if i have celtic blood but this doesn't matter because this music is still Beautyful
I am french with some celts ancestors coming from Brittany and when I hear bagpipe I feel a deep connection ☺
I'm Nigerian but I've never had any music more soothing than the Scottish bagpipes. I would love to have it played at my funeral. Selah!
I’m sitting with my mother in her final hours. A 93 year old Cleland woman with family links to William Wallace.
She will enter heaven and join all her family gone before her.

. I love bagpipe music. Always thought it was cool, but the first time I heard it live at my friends funeral that was killed in the line of duty in 2011 my hair stood up and I got chills. Since then I listen just to listen periodically for no reason, and two more of my friends and co workers have been killed in the line of duty. RIP Officers Brent Long, Rob Pitts, and Greg Ferency..
🙏🙏🙏🙏
So sorry to hear about your friend ❤️🙏
Was played at my families wedding , still reminisce from the moment my family reconciled , they came from Ireland, Scotland , England , Wales, France, to be there for the wedding. One time our family had peace between us . I miss the good days we’re music brought us together hand in hand for the good .
Thankyou for sharing your hard work this means a lot to us . Your talent is amazing ! Xox
nice wee surprise star of the county down, my foster family were irish scots . my foster mothers mammie and auntie ( irish through and through
) would ask me to play it on fiddle ( i was rubbish still am lol) so they would guide me how to play it to their liking whenever they visited. amazing wee family.
I've always loved bagpipes. I recently married a woman of Scottish descent so now I listen to them more. One of my best memories was when my ship was piped off the pier in Boston. It made handling the lines a little better. Now I've been playing with her chanter and sometime I'll start to learn how to play.
I am of English & Irish decent, I love the bagpipes.🏴 With all the stuff going on in Europe with Russia & Ukraine, with a pandemic just being behind all of it too, in the last 2 years I’ve learnt you can’t take life for granted. Be happy. Life is too short. Up the Celtic 💚☘️
Yes ..very true...we are all more grateful for what we have and being able to travel to our favourite countries...

My great great great grandparents immigrated to the US from Ireland. Proud of my heritage 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
I'm Scotch/Welsh. My grandmother was from Scotland, my grandfather was from Wales. She rolled her "r"s and he didn't pronounce his "h"s. They're both gone now, but whenever I hear bagpipes, it always reminds me of them.
That's beautiful!!
Sweet memory. Well-written. Thank you for sharing that bit of love with us.
Merci beaucoup for these magic bagpipes from Gaul to our cousins in Scotland and lreland !!

I listen to the wonderful bagpipe music every day. Bagpipe music is the music that is very important for my quality of life. If I get another life , I hope and be reborn in Scotland. I even play bagpipes and I once played with soldiers from UK in the Middle East and Cyprus. Scottish tradition is the worlds largest and best. John from Denmark
Bagpipes music has so much heart and soul, it warms my heart and soul. 👍👍👍👍
I'm 83 years old and soon...Are there pipes there? If so, there will be joyous tears and rising hackles from me forever.
See you there Bob
I’m -74
Heaven draws near whenever the pipes are played. I have no doubt at all that you will be piped through the pearly gates.
For me, that's where this music came from, 'out of the mists of time'. To answer your question, we are already there and I will join them soon. I am piper4life and I just kept the music going while I was/am here. It's not mine. It's my mission, and I am not alone. I play for both worlds, the living and the dead, and the Pipes will play for me, whether I can hear them or not. 60 years a Piper. This is what we do and it's magical.
Yes ...there are PIPES IN Heaven....most assuredly.....
Angelic music. I don´t know why some people dislike the bagpipes - to me they´re the most beautiful instrument on Earth. :)
I will go to Scotland someday and hear amazing bagpipe music.
Thank you so much for uploading this video. Although I have no Scottish blood
In me. My dear departed brother-in-law was pure Scottish. He gave me so many
bagpipe recordings that I played endlessly. He proudly flew Scottish and
American flags everyday in front of his house.
Proud to be of Irish and Scottish blood. Even though I'm American, I feel like my home will always be those green hills across the water. God bless the Celts!
Ihr habt schon lange den Pfad der Kelten verlassen.
I’m Airish from Malaysia & I love to hear bagpipes music every day during having my breakfast. It’s really soulful & make my mind to relax & calm ❤️
Greetings from Scotland 😊 Have a wonderful day everyone 🌻
after listening to this, i went and sacked a stronghold in northern England. but all kidding aside, i'm Asian and i love Celtic music. after a long stressful day at work, i play online mmorpg, crank up some Celtic music and go raid, well, nothing else to do during this boring lockdown so, video games it is. please, don't let your heritage die or taken away from the Leftist Ideologies. it's more than just music, it tells a epic saga of hundred years of war...war that is fought for freedom. freedom, it's something we don't have these days anymore. keep playing those outlaw tunes from those outlaw bagpipes and pass it on to your children, and their children, and so on. because a few foreigners like me love and cherishes it. Celtic music is forever in my head, in my heart, and in my soul.
lovely sentiment
Beware of pissin' off the Borderers there! They fight dirty and steal your cow.
My family has a lot of Scottish and Irish in us, and we Love this kind of music!

This album is so magical it is better than a six pack of beer. It is helping me give up the drink!
Maybe it's bred in our bones, but the sound of pipes is a little bit of heaven to some of us..................
You share the same name of my school mate. We both live in Shillong, commonly known as The Scotland of the East. Dr. Graham's School, was founded by a Scottish missionary named Dr. John Anderson Graham in a beautiful and scenic town of Kalimpong, near Darjeeling in 1900 for offsprings of mixed race - Anglo Indians. Most of us were Scottish, Irish and Welsh half breeds. The school had their bagpipe band, but became defunct and an Australian teacher Mr. Mcmohan began the Fife and drum band that continues even today. Now only the drummers still wear the Kilt. My friend David is a history professor and retired four years ago as the Chairman in the central government.
Distilled perfection, softly played, soothes the soul
As a Muslim from a war zone, the only thing I appreciate more than silence is Scottish Bagpipes. Because the sound is very alien to me, and relaxing for my nerves.
So doing okay.
doing better, i pray.
