Chris Kelly, you don't believe in angels, that exist with or without your belief. They aren’t anything like elves that appear only in fantasy literature. Aurora’s musical gifts are astonishing, but not because you believe in her.

It's genuinely hard to believe she's in her early 20s....and even wrote some of these songs when she was like 10.
I'm normally not super into lyrics....but Aurora's I am SO into....they are incredibly deep and profound. It's like she's been alive for 500 years...the level of maturity and depth and insight of her words.
I'm 38 and am nowhere NEAR as self actualized and wise as this young woman is. It's astonishing....

A gem of a live performance.. and here I am watching it again.. Nidarosdomen is a gothic style church and the grave of Olav den hellige (the holy). The original part of church is from 1070. All norwegian kings is crowned there and all crowns and regalias are stored there. The organ is one of the biggest in europe and got 9600 pipes and is one of the few who can do Johann Sebastian Bachs organmusic as written originally.

Thank you so much for reacting to this beautiful concert of Aurora at the Nidarosdomen Cathedral, which in my view is nothing less than a masterpiece. Others here have already written about the Cathedral, which is the northern most medieval cathedral in the world. One or two things about Aurora which you may or may not know; Aurora was born on 15th June 1996, but was 21 at the time of this performance. Aurora is a very gifted song writer, and some of her songs are all the more remarkable as she was so young when she wrote them; 9 years old when she wrote "Lucky", and 11 when she wrote "Runaway", both of which she performed in this concert. "Little Boy In The Grass" is about the Utoya massacre in Norway in July 2011, in which 77 young people were murdered, one of whom was a friend of Aurora's. "It Happened Quiet" and "Murder Song: 5,4,3,2,1" are apparently two parts of a story, albeit a very dark one, and both songs are masterpieces in my view, Aurora is one of few artists I know of who can take a song about such a dark subject and at the same time make it sound so utterly gorgeous. As others have said here, I would heartily recommend that you react to the HAIK documentary and concert which Aurora did last year. Both videos are available with subtitles, as most of the dialogue is in her native Norwegian. Thank you so much again.

After watching almost evrything of Aurora i still can't belive what i see. She can sing the same song in so many different way. Knowing that she love Heavy Metal and grew up with Bob Daylen, Enya and Cohen in her ears, we can sometime feel the influence, but nothing more. She learn piano by herself, never took singning lesson (only dance class) and write music for her. Her mom told her that it could be a good idear to share it, that is the only reason we can have access to it. So she give us her music, not to be famous, not to be seen, not even to be rich, only to share. That is, I think, what's make her so different from evrybody else. She give us hope true sad story, cuz non of her song are meaningless, every single word is choosed for a reason. She never question if it will hit chart, she just give us as many song as she say, we need. So welcome to the AURORA famely

Nidarosdomen, Nidaros Cathedral, built over a 230 year period, from 1070 to 1300 at the burial site of King Olav II (c. 995-1030, reigned 1015-1028) in the city of Trondheim and is still used for the consecration of Kings and Queens of Norway.
Nidaros (meaning "mouth of the river Nid"), also known as kaupangr í Þróndheimi ("the city in the district Trondheim", now named Trøndelag), with its modern name Trondheim was from 1152 until the protestant reformation in 1537, the seat of the Norwegian archbishop, and also the capital of Norway for most parts between 977 until approx 1300.

Her name is so fitting to what she radiates through her music, her voice, her movements. Her gift to have a glance behind this all, into her art, coming from this weird place no-one knows about. Haik is more contemplative, about love and hope ... It's beautiful, and the songs she sings there were not sung here, so everything is "new".

You just know she was an integral part of the entire process, though! I guess that was the first time she sang with an orchestra like that. What must it have been for her to be able to sing her songs in this setting! I praise NRK to the high heavens for their stunning capture of the concert, too!
Ahaha - by the time she starts singing Through the Eyes of A Child, the tears are already lined up behind our eyes. And when she almost lost it herself, we didn't stand a chance. :D Her songs do that - squeeze us, wring us out, and fluff us up in a fresh way.

Well, you've got a new subscriber here. Thanks for such an honest, feeling reaction to one of Aurora's masterpieces. If you WEREN'T struggling to not cry, your reaction wouldn't have been so genuine, as this is easily one of her most emotional concerts. If no one has mentioned it yet, you can watch it with English subtitles to understand exactly why she chose these particular songs for this very special concert😍, and, oh yeah, to hear her speaking to the audience and being herself, like no one else!
Also, Haik is an incredible concept for a show. The host drives Aurora around interviewing her and bestowing new experiences and places. She also surprises Aurora quite a few times along the way, at one point bringing her to tears of pure love. To watch Aurora react to the gifts and experiences she is given is utterly magical. She gives a surprise one song performance for two lucky fans and the look on their faces when they realize what's about to happen is priceless 😍
This show was made for Norwegian TV and you'll need to turn on the subtitles, but it is SO WORTH THE EFFORT 😍🇳🇴

Hello again Dear Sweet Sandy, my favorite instrument is the cello,I love the deep tones, I find so relaxing and calming. Easy to sleep and just fall deep into another realm.
Thank you for introducing me to so many great artists and their talents. I'm assuming she is performing in a cathedral church. the music just vibrates within the walls, you can feel it in your bones down to your soul.
I think I've watched this video at least 5-6 times already, usually an hour or so before bed or while in bed to put the day behind and welcome a new day in the morning.
I love quiet time and most of my time is quiet time, i Spend my mornings doing chores after, well that's my time. I live to relax and stay calm as can be. I don't like the hustle and bustle of a city anymore, I love the quiet of the desert.. listening to the sounds of nature, birds, cows, coyotes, the wind, rain or on a snowy day...... Just quiet.
I have fibromyalgia, scoliosis r.a. o.a. and suffer from ADHD agoraphobia germapobia ocd, PTSD.mylife has been threatened so many times for just being me.. it hurts when all the people I've helped and their kids once asked for my help and sometimes their children, to being so hated for just being my true self, I'd never hurt a another living soul...( Except flies and mosquitoes.oh and spiders)
So it across me how people can beg for my help, but when they find out I'm different, I some how grow 10 eyes, tentacles, horns and become something evil. All the whole they were living the life.of.drinking,.drugs and sinning all the way to hell. I don't bother with anyone,I don't ask for help, I mind my own business. If God hated meso then why did he give me a gift to help others? Which those who found about my personal life which I don't push into anyone, hate and despise me? I'm not gay, not there's anything wrong with that, we're all God's children, but I'm more depised than someone who's gay I keep my life personal life private for a reason, the only time I tell anyone is when I want or a lady finds me attractive.. other than that, it's no one's business about my very personal life.
So I live in the middle of the desert by myself with my 2 cats so not to get close to anyone.tired so tired of explaining myself to those that just wouldn't care anyways.
Sorry for the book of a comment, just in one of those moods I guess..this music brings me closer to the universe...
    Blessings and prayers to everyone
    ✨🙏🕊️🙏✨
BTW, I played the violin in school, and I love the sounds it also brings to the soul.
I know, I'm weird... Lol..that's why I live my life alone, most women wouldn't understand my taste in life... That's why I checked out of everyone's life, just in my own reality.. it suits me. It
is good for souls like mine.. love y'all 👍✌️💜

It is good to have you back, and as you said, this concert right here was maybe not only the perfect moment to do, but perfect for you.
And I do agree completely, and I have always said that there is something about AURORA that reminds so much of Hua Hua. Her songs are deep and have a true healing effect, and they are about love, but on a much bigger scale then the love you feel romanticaly towards another human. Just like Hua Hua, l8ve is a big theme, but in everything, but and small but not like every othet other artist uses it.
And of course there are lots and Lots of similiarities between them, arrangements, use of voice as an instrument, the layering of voices and instruments, the playfullness in music, the total commandment of emotions in theire pergormances, and of course, theire childlike and pure souls. And so on.
I really love them both, but I feel in my my heart that Hua Hua will always have that nr 1 spot in my heart. But thats another story.

I can tell you that she is no doubt in control of everything, especially concerts. She knows what she wants, and once she makes up her mind, there is no talking her out of it. I don't know if she still has the same manager she once had, but there was at least one time when he was trying to insist on one particular song should be sung at the end of a concert. She continually refused the idea, and at one point, he told Magnus, "She's all yours," and he walked out. She is a perfectionist, and it shows in her concerts and other performances. Despite all of that, she is human after all, and sometimes forgets lyrics, but will admit it to the audience and make light of it, and they love it. I just said she is human, but I, and many others tend to wonder where she really came from. I mean, sure she has parents, but there is so much different about her. It has been suggested that she is "a child of nature," and even one went so far as to say that "she is Mother Nature." I do agree that she is a child of nature, she spent so much time alone in the forest. She collects moths because they are not as popular as butterflies.

@monscent Aurora is so special and we are all lucky to have found her. I'm a fairly new fan, I found her on January 4th and knew immediately how incredible her music, vocals and songwriting was! NO other artist has affected me the way Aurora and her music has and I've been listening to music for over 50 YEARS 😃
The Haik concert is gorgeous, I love everything about it, from the beautiful forest to the video of her parents and also her fans, and of course the concert 😍 Aurora and the band NEVER disappoint and the performance of "Infections of a Different Kind" brings me to tears every time. You can feel Aurora's dismay but yet, the hope she brings to the song. What a masterpiece, indeed!

To see a different Aurora, watch one of the live clips of "Conqueror" her vocals and dancing for this song are just pure joy. It is her only song where she smiles all the way through. Also, if you haven't already done so, watch some of her interviews, she is intelligent, wise, honest, quirky and playfully mischievous. There are some great interviews where she is with her sisters.

    I just watched this, so I’m a bit late😅
What a lovely reaction, one of the best I’ve seen 🥰
I don’t know another artist that captivates me like Aurora does, she “pulls” me into her world each time ❤️
And to think that she is self taught, it’s just amazing 🥰
I can’t count how many times I’ve watched this concert, it’s the most beautiful one Ive ever seen.
And when you know the meaning of the songs🥰 I have no words ❤️
For example “Little Boy in the Grass”.
She wrote this song after the horrible terror attack 22 of July 2011, where 8 people were killed in the Government building, and 69 youths were shot and killed on a summer camp on the small island Utøya.🥲 33 of them were under 18 years old , and Aurora lost a friend there. This was done by one man only, and I hope he never gets out of prison!😡
    Love from Norway 🇳🇴🥰🧚🧚

This was nice! Thank you Sandy for giving me this chance to wach this even one more time. Great to be able to "be there along side" with you this time. I guess I`m one of the many who wish they where there. To me this has become like a classic/iconic live album I for sure would have bought. I`m greatful to the NRK for producing this consert, and made it available to us all.
Aurora`s art is so great. Just reading her lyricks makes you emotional I think. As she adds her voice and music it becoms so good it`s almost painful.
Make sure you don`t miss out on Aurora`s HAIK consert, even that one from the NRK broadcasting company. To me it is music from the woods and the heart of the earth.

Here is the new song including the original musicvideo from Aurora for the Norwegian advent callender TV series: czcams.com/video/4QjHpi9hYWE/video.html The song is in her native language, Norwegian. "Star Dust" is about Jo, a boy of nine years, who experiences that his parents are going to divorce. He has to move with his mother and siblings to a new place, and experiences a difficult beginning in the Christmas month.
Jo is very interested in the stars and the universe, he loves hockey and is captain of his team. Jo's father, Steinar, is an astronomer, and together they often look up at the starry sky. Jo learns that Nordstjerna ( North Star ) is the guiding star he can always follow. Jo is described as sensitive, but instead of talking about what is difficult, he escapes, gets tough and hard, and pushes people away. When he misses his father, and when things get difficult in the new place, he finds Nordstjerna again. But suddenly Jo discovers that the star goes out.
Shortly afterwards, Jo finds a girl named Elly in the attic. She is described as strong, fearless and with a well-developed competitive instinct. Elly comes from a fairytale people called the "Star People" in the North. It is as far north in the world as it is possible to get, just below Nordstjerna. Elly is the star child, the one who gives power and light to the North Star. She has magical powers that allow her to control snow and ice, and she does not feel cold. Elly can not get home again until Nordstjerna lights up, and she needs help from Jo.
Jo and Elly have different skills, challenges and longings. Elly gives Jo the courage to cope with all the new things that are happening in his life
