  • For $27, this is a viable option for CPU cooler for this CPU. This is the first time that I have ever installed this, I leave it unedited so you can see where I make mistakes. In the end, if you watch the whole video, you will easily understand how to install it.

I was using Thermalright back in the day, like 20 years ago. They were doing full copper CPU heatsinks for the Pentium 4!
This bring back so many memories!
I was wondering about the contact footprint being not perfect at the beginning of the video. Big issue?

    Thanks for testing this cooler!
#1 What was the Cinebench 23 max temp of Assasin X 90 SE so we can compare?
BA120 is 84c (from your other video)
#2 Could you just reuse the mount? Looks the same?

I dont find the video with BA tested on the 13600k, where did you find it ? are talking about the test with the Noctua nh-d14 ?? (not a BA120), that's the one with 85ª CB23 test

What are those extra blue pads you’ve put on the screws from the back side of the motherboard? I don’t see them in the installation manual 🧐

How Is performing in thermal benchmarks this cooler with this cpu? I mean Is It handling enough the Power draw of the 13600kf? Just asking cause i wanted to buy One of this cooler to try It out (without overclock obviously).

Good for non OC gaming. I did a benchmark video..but my OCd RAM was causing bsod. Here is that unreleased video for Temps

@@PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1 I Just finished to see the video and nice temps , i Will buy One of this combined with a thermalright frame socket i should be ok with temps. Btw as motherboard i Will use a b760 gigabyte so i am not going to overclock anything. Thanks for the quick answer and keep the good job up!

  • @PC_HardwareTechUnboxing_1

Another cheap cooler combined with a warmer running CPU. Eventually, I will compare 4 or 5 of these under $35 coolers.

I'm whiling to buy a Thermalright Assasin X 90 SE to a 13600k, but the i search and I've thought a little "weak". How does he perform with a 13600K?? I really like tha cooler. But then I saw the Assassin X that would not be enough to handle the 13600K... and I don't want to go for the P.A. since its huge, and my Rams are kinda tall. PS: CB23 to me is the extreme test to me, since i'de never go that CPU usage (only on CB23 to test), and I also use stock PL's 125W/181W. I just want a good cooler, low noise, and budget friendly. oh... and preferentially, black 😁😁 I assume that the Assassin X paired with 13600K with the stock PL's, should be enough, maybe !?. Or last case, this BA. Let me know your honest opinion about that, and if that is a right decision, or not, and maybe should be better to go for another cooler. I've searched a lot about Thermalright coolers, but an experienced opinion, its the way to go! PS: I'm using a common Intel stock cooler for about a week, and its ok.. 😅 sometimes a little hot, but it works decently, until I decide for the new cooler to buy. Tks

I have received TR BA 120 but not the 3 pin Argb controller yet. Can I use this meanwhile without RGB effects? Like connecting only 4 pin cpu fan cable

  • @Arachnoid_of_the_underverse

Dont do what I did yesterday and fit the cooler with two fans blowing itowards each other instead of one in one out DOH!

Hey man, how are the temperatures with this cooler on the 13600KF?
I'm planning to do some hardware upgrades soon, and dont have that big of a budget.

i would get the peerless assassin, 10 bucks more and 15 degrees colder

I want to buy a i5 13600kf and want a budget motherboard for it, dont need Overclocking etc, but I want it to be stable and dont lose performance, will a B660 GAMING X , B760 GAMING X OR B760 GAMING X AX be enough? What mobo is better for the price and the CPU to work well on ?

  • @DougKaplan
    @DougKaplan Před rokem

I installed this on a ASrock B650M.C and now I get a long and consistent beeping noise once I start up a game. The temps are 1/2 of what the stock CPU cooler was but the beeping is obviously a huge issue. It looks like everything installed correctly though 😞 any idea what's wrong?

Manufacturing/design issue, probably it's not sitting straight

ba120 is insane value. keeps a 12700k under 75c full load. (mobo and CPU was 330 new.. hard to pass up)
