This song and video evokes a melancholic emotion in me. I had to rewatch it to grasp at a reason for why and I have concluded that I project my own misanthropy and distaste for disingenuous human relationships onto the lyrics. This is simply my own interpretation but I feel as if the characters portrayed in the video are reflecting on the people in their lives after dying and realizing how much they disliked them all due to their own misanthropy.
It's also indeed a big bop. The animation fits the singing so well. Nice work.

I keep coming back to I Hate U All, and reflecting on it, I think it's because it reminds me so much of my self deprecating thoughts. Kind of like Wax Fang's Majestic, I listen to the song as being like one's mind criticizing their own destructive habits, though specifically how shitty they are to people. Cause damn that's me, IM shitty to people and ghost them and shit.
That's something I've realized about myself over the past year or so, too. I spent a little while in the dating scene for the first time recently. I'm 25, and never really had the confidence to explore dating before a few months back. I actually landed a couple of dates, and I figured if I found someone that liked me it would be easy, but then I met the "if you had someone to hold, you'd wish they would leave" side of myself that would rather not have the pressure of someone else valuing my time.
I always saw myself as an affectionate and potentially romantic person, so to realize how self-interested I could be was pretty surreal. I'm still working through how to reconcile that part of myself with the parts of me that actually do give a damn, but I am glad that I found this song. Knowing I'm not the only person that feels that way helps.
i like this song :). Mr blue tie says all the things im worried could be true, and the fact hes saying it to a random guy waiting at the bus makes it seem like hes a living personification of intrusive thoughts.
