This Strawberry Bread has a beautiful golden brown crust and is wonderfully buttery sweet with a moist texture. I love how it has the flavor of summer, bursting with juicy sweet strawberries. It also has some chopped nuts which give it a delightful crunch. It is delicious cut into thick slices, with or without a slathering of butter.

I tried this recipe today and it came out well, so thanks! Both my loaf pans are 9" by 5", and the baking time was much longer, more like 75 minutes. Tastes lovely.

I don't normally do this, but...I had a bunch of fresh cherries in the fridge. So I swapped those in for the strawberries. I subbed almonds in for the nuts, and almond extract instead of vanilla. And I left out the cinnamon. Oh my! So very delicious! So good I'm making a second load right now for the freezer. This is a GREAT recipe and as you can tell, it's very adaptable.

I just made this last night. I put a little bit of black pepper in with the cinnamon. And I used lavender citrus sugar, and pink peppercorns on the strawberries on top. It's very yummy.

Hi Stephanie …. After my making regular bread turned into numerous failures, I’m back to quick breads. I like to use your recipes because of the clean measuring (grams) of the ingredients. I will be trying the Strawberry Loaf this weekend, since they’re practically giving the strawberries away at the farm stands. That should work.
I’m starting to appreciate unsalted butter more often. It does have a better taste to it. I think it is quite different from the salted. And I believe it’s more than just the salt that’s added to the salted butter. It just taste completely different. 😊❤️

You can freeze the bread for about one month.
Not to sure abut the cinnamon but fresh mint is good with strawberries so I might try putting in some chopped mint leaves

Hi how long does this stay good at room temperature? Bc I made this on Saturday and today it was smelling really funky. Thanks!
If it smells off, then I wouldn't eat it. If you live in a warm climate, if you store the bread at room temperature, it will only last a couple of days. The fresh strawberries do soften the bread, so I normally store it in the refrigerator.

2 questions 1 can you use self rising flour. 2 can I use peaches for this recipe
If you use self rising flour then leave out the baking powder and salt called for in the recipe. I’ve never tried using peaches but it should work.

anykind of fruit?, in mexco, same in usa, there is a fruit, called ZARZAMORA, or blacl-blue berry, I LOVE ZARZAMORAS....and love greasy and sand loaf cakes, my greatest fantasy, is a black-blue berry loaf cake, or ´´ panque de zarzamora!!!!
