    TRUCK TAILGATE LED LIGHT BARS
    LEDGlow LED Tailgate Lights are slim and durable LED light bars designed to bring your truck added safety and visibility with Running, Brake, Hazard and Turn Signal Light functions for your vehicle’s tailgate. The 49" lightbar includes 48 ultra bright Red LEDs and the 60" size includes 60 Red LEDs. Both are designed to provide your truck with unrivaled illumination to clearly and effectively signal other drivers on the road.
    LED TRUCK TAILGATE LIGHT BAR STRIP
    For trucks that do not have a standard Flat 4 Pin Connection, easily splice the wires for a secure hard-wired connection. Adhesive tape and screws are provided for a trouble-free installation. The 49" size will work with most small to mid-size trucks while the 60" size will fit most full-size trucks. A precise measurement of your tailgate is recommended before purchasing.

    I have a 2005 Chevy Silverado with a towing package. It has a 7 pin trailer lighting plug. I used a 7 to 4 pin adapter to try out the light bar. Everything worked but the running lights so I figured it may be the plug. I tested the wires at the 7 pin harness and they all worked fine so I hardwired it and it still works except for the running lights.

    There is a wire harness that comes with the kit, and you just splice that into your stock running, brake and reverse light wires. If you have any other questions just ask!

    Our bar only works with a flat four pin connector. You would have to splice in, unfortunately. If you have any other questions just ask!

    I was thinking about doing this across the horizontal cross member of my boat trailer. The trailer uses a 5 prong flat connector, so that the surge breaks disengage when put into reverse, also allowing for backup lights. Do you think this light bar could be adapted to fit and function properly? Also, is it waterproof?

    What kind of vehicle do you have? We found an issue with our new light bars with Chevy and are working to fix it. Just let me know and we will go from there!

    Yes you certainly can. we include a wiring harness what will allow you to splice the light bar into your existing brake, reverse, and signal wires. If you have any other questions just ask!

    I cannot speak of any other brands and why they are malfunctioning. What I can speak of is the quality of LEDGlow's Tailgate Bars and the one year warranty and free lifetime technical support we offer with all of our kits. Personally I would get a bar you know is going to work first time. Let me know if I can answer anything else for you!

    @Whitehorze Thanks, i fixed it now. turns out it was a faulty connection from the power source.

  • @ledglow
    @ledglow  Před 11 lety +1

    Yes, this can definitely be done. You'll have to cut out a curved shape, somewhat like a half moon shape on the housing of the light bar so you will still to able to access the hole. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    We have fixed the issue that was causing the light bars not to work with Chevy Trucks, and they are working 100% perfectly. You are more then ok to buy it now. I will try to find out the name of the song for you, I don't know off the top of my head. If you need anything else just ask!

  • @st0pth3h8
    @st0pth3h8 Před 9 lety

    Great product. The only issue that I encountered - The white wire that is spliced to join the backup light ---- it was very small whereas the the tail light wire was thicker. This made it difficult to join together, but I was able to do it after several attempts.

    • @ledglow
      @ledglow  Před 9 lety

      David Disalvo The white wire is smaller than the other wires so you can easily wrap around the tailgate wire without having to cut and splice the wire in. Glad you were able to join them together after a few attempts, but thanks for letting us know about your concern we'll see what we can do to update future light bars!

    We have had other customers install this lightbar in their Tundra with great results. I spoke to my technical manager and he said the reason it may be hitting is because it is not securely mounted. If you have specific questions or Tech Department would be more than happy to answer any other questions you may have or walk you through the install. You can give them a call at 1.877.LED.Glow. If I can answer anything else for you just ask!

    I just bought a different brand of tailgate lights and connected to the harness on my truck. The right turn signal and half of the brake lights work but the other complete half doesn't work. What's going on? Faulty connection? Should I return the lights for a new set?

    I have a 2017 dodge ram it has a connector top and bottom doors. That is for both wiring hookups. I matched brown with brown, white which is slightly bigger white with white, green with green, yellow with yellow. Using clips purchased at Canadian tire, there blue. It allows to put the solid wire in and part of the light unit wire in, then squeese together. done. "Doesn't work... I hate when a plane doesn't come together.

    @hondabigredes Hook the light bar up directly to a power source and see if they work. if yes, then rewire in order to function correctly. If no, then return the faulty units for a refund or exchange for a new kit.

    I got a 7 to 4 pin adapter. But I need to pull a trailer and have the light bar on. are there any recommended 7 pin to 4 and 7 pin adapters. I am thinking something withe the 4 pin on a separate housing so I can still hide it behind my rear bumper and have the 7 pin come out of its normal hole on the towing package. Get what Im saying?

    • @ledglow
      @ledglow  Před 8 lety

      +zachsurdell24 I do understand what you are getting at. Unfortunately, however, I am unaware of a recommend 7 pin to 4 pin adapter. I don't see it being in an issue with our kit if you do happen to locate one.

    I bought this and it arrived today and I installed today on my 2012 ram 1500 with towing package. I installed it via the 4 pin connector when testing, my right turn signal didn't function. It worked for my running lights but not hazards or right turn signal and it is only the right side. I tow things all the time so I know it isn't the trucks harness because all my trailers work perfectly fine. Any ideas as to why this is??

      @ledglow  Před 9 lety

      Zachary Martin Thanks for contacting us about the issue you're having. This is not a very common issue we've heard of with our light bars and we may need to run some tests on it. If you could send me your contact information to Mike@LEDGlow.com, I can have one of our Technical Support Specialists contact you directly to troubleshoot the issue you're having. You can also contact our Tech Support Team directly at 877.LED.GLOW or by email at TechSupport@LEDGlow.com. Thanks again for letting us know about this and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

    I have a 2014 Ram 2500 and my problem with installing a light bar is it covers up the access hole to lower the spare tire. I see in your video your light bar is over your hole to lower the spare tire. So when you have a flat your have to remove the tailgate and light bar to gain access to lower your spare tire?

    • @ledglow
      @ledglow  Před 7 lety

      You will have to remove the bar or you can cut a notch out of the housing of the bar so that the spare tire hole is not being covered.
