- Kevin the teenager! Kevin can't wait till his birthday when he will finally become a teenager. Hilarious British comedy from the BBC.
This is a channel from BBC Studios who help fund new BBC programmes. Service information and feedback: www.bbcstudios.com/contact/co... - Komedie
When I was a teenager, I used to think this was a comedy sketch. Now I’m a parent and I realise it’s actually a documentary.
Hopefully if your kids act like that you beat them within an inch of their lives😃
Apart from a Hi-fi reference this is timeless.
❤️this comment 😂😂
@@davidgibson3481 I use a hi-fi.
Mockumentary more like
That moment when you yell 'DON'T BLOODY SHOUT AT ME' at your mum in polite conversation and she doesn't get the reference...
So true...
it only lasts 4 or 5 years
what?? ive never done THAT befor.....
Get her to watch this, then she'd understand. If she hasn't watched it, of course, she'll just think you're being very rude to her.
*_oof_*
My youngest is 13 today, he was such a lovely lad,
Enjoy it while it lasts!
our eldestr is 13 today, im gonna make her watch this lol
eatthisvr6 I got my son to watch it after he made the exact same damn hand gestures and talk as Kevin, he wasn't happy with me :D now when he acts up i tell him to stop doing a kevin and he glares at me :)
she was stood tnext to me saying THATS NOT ME and me and her mother both looked at her grinning and nodding HAHAHA
eatthisvr6 When this came out i thought it was just comedy exaggeration but NOPE pretty much spot on :D i mean he isn't like that all the time but when he switches into teen mode YEP perfect impression down to the arms and everything :D
My parents showed me this a while ago on my 13th birthday :P
HAHAHAH sames I'm 13 today
+Charlie Turner omg same!
+Hannah Wells same

Me too, I laughed my head off. True though
"he's loosing the power of rational thought!"
😂😂 I love that line
*losing. Lovely irony there 🤣
" Goodnight, Kevin!"
" *DON'T BLOODY SHOUT AT ME!* "
I wish this wasn’t so accurate.
“DON’T BLIMIN SHOUT AT ME!”
RIP Stephen Moore (Kevin's Dad)
Probably one of the greatest dad-actors that had ever lived.
awww, when did he die?
Danish Pastry 4th October
Kevin's dad in this clip is Duncan Preston.
yeh stephen moore played his dad in the later sketches, he was also great in adrian mole.
@@clarewebber288yes! Also love him as Stan in Dinnerladies, and Acorn Antiques...
My parents showed this sketch to me when I was 13 and I thought it was so cringey. Looking back, this is exactly what I put them through for five years 😂
i would of got my dads belt across my backside if i showed any sort of disrespect to him or my mum i was around 15 when i realized he aint all that bad as i thought he was i got caught smoking weed in school my mum was furious but the one who i thought would be really mad was my dad but he wasnt he came in one night sat next to me started giving me advice and telling me how drugs can wreck peoples lives he knows he aint going to stop me doing it he just didnt want me doing it behind his back and lying about it he would rather me smoke it at home than out in the streets because then he will know im save years later i found out he was a stoner himself.
😝
Why was it cringe
I’m 13 now bro and my dads just shown me it 😂😂
@@TheLilDookletGuy Same I totally relate to Kevin 😂
The sketch that gave every late 90's and early 2000's parent a hilarious and original reference to make every time you came into conflict with them.
It's still used. It was used on me as a teen and I was a teen from 2013 to 2020.
@@leonbanks5728 did you not read the comment? He said early 2000’s parent
@@Devious90210 I was saying that it's still used.
I still get called Kevin by my mum whenever I complain to this day, I'm 35 😂
Try being actually called Kevin and a teenager during that period, that bloody character was the bane of my life.
I used to think this was so stupid when I was a teen. Now I have a 16 year old...
I'm 17 and I can relate to this a lot
stupidflounders Me too. She’s not quite as rude, but makes it coldly obvious that anything I say irritates her beyond belief. Where’s my lovely sunny chatty girl gone?
Same
I'm 16 too
@Sarah Lowe fuck off
my dad calls me kevin and I never knew why, now I do. Lol XD
Edit: three years later: he still calls me kevin 👌🏼
Edit: 5 years later: just finished the first year of college
Still calls me Kevin
Edit: 6 years later: (I’m gonna be updating this till I retire istg) Just got accepted into my first choice Uni!! I wonder if I’ve outgrown Kevin yet...
Edit: 9 years later: Just graduated with a BA degree (somehow!) and, suffice it to say, my 14-year-old brother has _definitely_ taken over the role of Kevin.

Well yes...your name actually IS Kevin.

I remember seeing this as a kid and noticing that's not Mario Kart, that's Wario Land :D
shhhhh. don't ruin it.
Ah yes, the Larry Bundy Jr comment in the wild. Becoming more frequent at time goes on. He's everywhere. 😂
is there anywhere you don't get other than the guest list of Molyneux's eulogy?
@@iCABALi How about David Braben? I heard there's a good song about him! #IfYouKnowYouKnow

I also love that Perry is so polite to Kevin's parents, but horrible to his own mother. It gives me some kind of hope. 😜🤣
Same as Kevin is really nice and polite to Perry’s parents
That kids. We've all been teenagers!

Unforgettable.... The beauty of this clip was the fact that my younger brother was going through the tantrums as a 13 year old in 1993 and his name is and was..... Kevin 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Don't bloody shout at me XD
I watch this to remind myself that my teenager is normal!
This morning I woke him up with “good morning sweetie” and he shouted “good?! YOU DONT KNOW HOW I FEEL!!!
This is pretty much what my sister did when she turned 13
Goodnight Kevin! :)
DON'T BLOODY SHOUT AT MEEEE!!!
Harry Enfield is really good at knowing how a teenager can act. This is hilarious, by the way xD
Just showed this to my 12 yr old.....he's 13 tomorrow!!!!
Good luck everyone lol

They showed us this at school and everyone laughed so much, it seems so over the top but its actually really true 😂
My mum and dad always used to show me this when ever I had a tantrum!
Kevin and Perry are such iconic characters.
I still search this up every once and a while for a good laugh haha
One of the best Harry Enfield sketches. Very well observed.Brilliant.
“Why’s there no BLOODY ice cream?!” Well that’s a mood 😂
This sketch is spot on. My daughter is 14 and is exactly like this sometimes lol
my daughter is 14 and exactly like this bow... when does it end lol?
"night kevin" "DONT BLOODY SHOUT AT ME!" hahaha so true
We watched this in assembly today, it was another lecture about attitude XD
Lol
Yeah a lot of schools do it
I watched it in English
They did that in our school, it didn't work, and then there were 380 year 8 students acting like Kevin for a week!

Same here. I got my sarcasm from my dad (and it was *bad* lol)

That's not Super Mario Kart. That's Wario Land.
In one sketch, Kevin is playing the PlayStation.
It's actually tetris. Not that it matters. It's not really the point of the sketch.
Nick Gilbert Nope. It's Wario Land.

Seeing this sketch again after many, many, many, many years made me just realize that my "flailing my arms around while I move" mannerisms came from this sketch. Thank you Harry Enfield for influencing me this way.
Lol such a funniest transformation!
This scetch is such a classic!
And not really very far removed from the truth, I might add.
This is so accurate, it's scary. I'm sending this to my teenager.
This was my 9 year old at 5:30 this morning. She literally said “it’s not fair” so I showed her what she is turning into 😅
"Good night Kevin!" "DON'T BLOODY SHOUT AT ME!!!!" Hahahahahaha:')
I was caned at school on my 13th birthday, for dropping a stink bomb in a maths lesson, when quizzed WHY I had done that, I replied
"its my 13th birthday, so I want to get my teenage years off to a FLYING START"
For similar reasons, I deliberately dropped my pencil to the floor, then stuck it in Paul Washington's leg as I got back up.
Good. Nobody liked that Paul Washington.
Caning?!!
That's old school... Literally and metaphorically...

My mum sent me this video yesterday (on my 13th birthday) and now I'm watching it. I'm laughing so much! 😂

I became a teenager half an hour ago. This sketch came to mind.
Same for my final hours to be as a teen. Now I'm waiting to be 18 in 5 hours. While I'm watching this sketch. 😊😊😊
I love Harry Enfield’s teenager guide! That worth for all teenagers. Forget from parents!
Hahaha I remember watching this with a few drinks with a mate when it was first broadcast '94 (when the BBC did a nice chunk of good comedy on a Friday night) and we were hysterical.
Drunken laughter lasted for ages and we needed to watch it again later having missed loads of other sketches with laughing!
We watched this in class today and I couldn’t relate more, especially since I was out of my home environment. The groans and all I do it all.
Just introduced my 11 year old to Kevin the teenager. It was time 😭🤣
The birth of probably Harry Enfields most iconic character
I wouldn't laugh if this wasnt so accurate
LOL, I love how this spoofs the idea that you change from one phase to the next at the stroke of midnight. I'd like to see a sequel to this concept (17 to 18th birthday) where Kevin's still acting like an annoying teen, then at midnight he suddenly starts acting like a 40 year old businessman, maybe falling asleep at the stroke of midnight.
That was the quickest transformation in history.

My mum wrote in my 13th birthday card “please don’t go all Kevin on me”
Spot on . BRILLIANT.. we all know of a certain person like that, dont we
This is absolutely spot on. Teenagers are a nightmare. My son is 14 and I cant even have a conversation with him anymore. He was so sweet when he was little. Anyone what has young children BEWARE!! This is what they turn into!
Wow you sure like generalising entire generations into one group with identical personality attributes.

That's not what I'm going to turn into when I'm 13 me and my friends will still be making poop jokes

We all tell ourselves that. You're going to change a lot more than you think you will (obviously not within the span of 20 seconds or whatever, but the point still stands).
I'm 15, but when I was 12 I had an immensely different sense of humour, personality and mindset. I was in the exact same position as you are in right now, but trust me when I say that you will change more that you think you will. :P
