Sending or asking question back to person you are talking to when you don’t know what to say is a good idea. I’ve always used it and yes it helps me a lot to save time or not to stop the conversation too long.

It's funny how your lessons some times comes straight to me.
The situation three you mention on the video is exactly what happened to me a couple of weeks ago, last month to be more specific when my boss caught me off guard asking me to share my opinion... and I really froze because I wasn't expecting to be asked, I hadn't thought about the topic and I didn't have anything ready to say at that moment...
