Fans Scramble to Safety as Gunshots Ring Out by Ballpark

- When gunshots pierced the air outside the Washington Nationals ballpark, fans were sent into a terrifying panic as they tried to escape what many feared to be a mass shooting. Would you know what to do in a nightmare scenario like this? Inside Edition spoke with security expert Bill Stanton, who gave advice on how to stay prepared when entering large stadiums and arenas. “Wherever you go, know where your exits are. Do a quick walk around to scope things out,” he said. #InsideEdition
When my Dad was in an active shooter situation, he said this: “I was more worried about being trampled than I was being shot” He said when people panic like that, most of them have no regard for other people. Sad truth.
Yeah it lucky no one was crushed to death
Is that a famous quote from Baldwin?
@@persimmon93 his dad is that Baldwin guy? *Daaammmnnn*
Just like what happened to udo in snk I see, he was trampled to death because of the panic
Exactly. I once saw a bad fight at school and was standing about 100 feet back while maybe 200 kids stood around. Then a whistle blew and all the kids scattered everywhere. I rushed behind a wall to not get hit but in the process, I was hit. Luckily it was someone I knew and he apologized and moved on but jeez it was chaotic.
Dang, that would freak me out seeing all those crowds of people running and not knowing where to go

The stampede probably injured more people then the actual gunshots.
Well yeah the gunshots injured maybe one or two people (the people on the receiving end of the bullets) where as the stampede obviously injured many people because a stadium with 10 exits and 12,000 people there’s guaranteed to be many injuries when everyone starts running for the exits

I was at a mall near my house when someone lit off a firework inside that sounded like a gunshot. We didn't find out until later that it actually was a firework. I cant even imagine how traumatizing this was
Had an active shooter at my mall a couple of years ago. Started from two gangs getting in a fight. I put my ex wife behind a table and pulled my gun. Guy seemed to have forgotten how to be a gangster once he had a 9mm pointed back at him. Lucky only one person was shot but sadly it was a guy just trying to break up the fight. He lived but it could have been a lot worse. That incident is why I'm 100% for concealed carrying as long as the person is properly trained. Eight years in the Marines and I never thought I would be put into a situation like that back home.
It looked like a doughnut to me not a missing hubcap but I could be wrong
