More remains found at Lake Mead, will more bodies be found?

  • More remains found at Lake Mead over the weekend. Dropping lake levels are bringing mysteries to the surface. Curiosity is attracting people to the lake and a scuba diving shop has been more busy with people looking to feed their curiosities. The hazards of the lake don't go away. The most recent discovery shows no signs of foul play.

@@things4yougaming723 In a basic sense you're right... but there have been dozens of people who have drown and never recovered, not to mention bodies of murdered victims that were dumped there, and maybe a few missing hikers that may have gone for a swim and never came back... and the police would have to treat every one as a potential CRIMME scene and do all the forensics... and then do DNA samples to see if they could match any of the accidental drowning persons... you're talking potentially thousands of hours and tens of thousands of dollars... and many of the families of those persons may already have died also...

Where I live there is a head pond, my dad drives a barge for his job for the hydroelectric damn. He has found a body, and a second body was found by another person. Both were not foul play. Person my dad found had fell into the river leading to the head pond while ice fishing in the winter, my dad found it while cleaning the river of drift wood with the barge. Then the second body was a boy who had been bridge jumping and never came back up. My dad always says the water isnt clean enough dont swim in it, or there are weird things in there. But everyone does it, there is even a government maintained beach there. Well I recently started working doing a historical heritage project with a company and we were looking into the land where the hydroelectric damn had been built and how the land looked before that. We found that there had been grave yards there, under what is now a public beach. The graves had been exhumed and relocated, however what was never made public knowledge really, is that the black graves were NEVER exhumed. Now clearly those bodies are not going to pop up anytime soon, they are long since broken down. BUT my point is,,, the very spot everyone goes swimming my entire life is directly above about 30-40 graves that were never exhumed. not to mention the two bodies literally found in the water... I decided I will never swim in that water again NO MATTER WHAT. The sad thing as well is that as a kid... everyone jokes that the beach has SO much "sea weed" because everyone pees in the beach (no bathrooms on the beach or years and years, parents just told kids swim out over the sea weeds and pee....) Based on the maps we found, the "sea weed" area is just vegetation that has since grown up from the grave yard cite. Its just all so strange. Im not talking a grave yard form 300 years ago, the dam was built in he 1960s.

As they find those remains, it's time to look through the reports of missing people from over the years. This will bring closure to families of those missing people. Also, take into account the old saying, "Getting 86'd". Eight miles out, six feet down. This could, as with the bodies in barrels, close some murder cases.

I even found his name in old newspapers, as he was shot during a resaraunt gang invasion, but he lived. I kept copies if everything I found out about the gang and my relative, for myself.... but it would be so cool if someone would make a video about my relatives involvement....come to think of it, I've never perused YT for info....guess today is a good day to start 😆

Get ahold of Adventures with Purpose! They’ll be all over this professionally and have the lake combed within days with expert sonar equipment!

Interesting how these bodies are still intact from being underwater for more than a few decades, and by looking at the one in the barrel, IT STILL HAD ITS CLOTHES AND SOME SKIN!

I saw a story that Lake Superior had a ship go down, I think they said 70's. The whole crew are dead and still fully intact down there. It's freezing cold water so they're frozen in time. It would apparently be difficult to exhume them because of the water conditions.
The families made it illegal to go take film/pictures of their loved ones. Because you know how people will find a way when you say no.
I think they said the families agree its all their final resting place, they are all together still & felt it would be wrong to remove any of them from there.

@@deec-man5743 Facts but Lake Superior is totally different. I actually swim up there in August around Picture Rock Lakeshore and it's a beautiful hidden gem... Been to many beaches on all of our coast and in Caribbeans and I swear Lake Superior coastal line up there is TheBest! MinersBeach would definitely be my favorite! Just sucks that water don't get warmer enough till mid July through August but it's still cold for sure! Most refreshing swim ever👍👍👍👍
