My self-care routine and habits are what keep me happy and motivated while juggling tons of different commitments 👨🎓👨💻🏃♂️👩❤️👨
I work pretty long hours between being a corporate lawyer and running my channel, and around that try to keep up an at least somewhat healthy social life... ohh, and I try to see my girlfriend, Beth... sometimes 🤔
But, despite everything I have going on, since I started working for a big corporate law firm 8 months ago, I've really focused on building in time for ME to do the stuff I want to do - self-care, from a dreamy pastry 🥐 on a Sunday morning to a chilled reading 📖 session, is so flipping important! So yeh, in this day in the life I share a day looking after #1... me and my happiness!

About Me
I'm a trainee lawyer, part-time CZcamsr, son, brother, startup founder, boyfriend, black coffee drinker and plant dad. I graduated from Cambridge University (where I studied French and Spanish), topped my law school class and now work for a corporate law firm in London as a trainee solicitor (which takes up a lot of my time)!
Around that I'm a big fan of discovering new ways of thinking, of balancing work with life, and of performing to the very best of my ability. Ohh, and being happy. And I try to share all that on this CZcams channel 😀
Fun fact: I believe we massively overplay the role of “natural talent” 😮 AND… I also believe that TOGETHER, WE ARE ALL CAPABLE OF POSITIVITY, PRODUCTIVITY AND SUCCESS.

Last weekend I had a staycation. I literally rented a room in the city centre and just did things that make me happy that I normally don't do. It was perfect!
Self care is more important than we think!
Your effort to maintain a work-life balance is very inspiring. Love the way you manage to get out in the fresh air, exercise, read and chill with friends. Such positivity and enthusiasm are fantastic. Also practicing gratitude is a good tip. Thanks for sharing!

I really love that you included both productivity and self care in the title and video. It's so so important to remind all of us that both are important. Got to take care of our mental and physical health first! Awesome and realistic routine too :)
yes to not pushing yourself too hard when it comes to working out!! I used to force myself to do super strenuous workouts but now I mix it up and sometimes it will just be a walk or yoga, and other times maybe running or using weights!
100% - it has been a total game changer for me - I used to absolutely hate the thought of having to do exercise / running and now I genuinely (usually) kinda look forward to it!
It's so important to take time for yourself and do exactly that: think about you and your current situation. I keep forgetting this during busy weeks of working and studying in parallel.

Yep - so easy to forget when we’re all busy trying to achieve stuff that we need to look after number 1 (ourselves) - and that means chilling and doing what we want to do!!

With Beth's situation, I've experienced the whole partner working more than usual (my husband is a therapist) and whenever I feel a little bummed like "Oh they are working on the weekend when I'm off" I just keep reminding myself it's temporary situation :)

They are AUKEY - I think they are called '27' something - the sound quality isn't great, but they are a cheap alternative to Airpods for the clumsy / stingy among us :p
