I used to teach industrial safety and I would try to convince the class that the reason yawns are contagious is because the first yawn changes the air pressure in the area (very small change) and others yawn to equalize their internal air pressure. There were always some that bought it.

I always said soda my whole life until I worked at a restaurant that was a tourist spot with people from all over the world. When I used to say "pop" some people looked at me all confusedso I got used to saying "soda". But it's "pop" for life.😅

Hannah, I am a Chocolate Lover but when it comes to ice cream I am more of a vanilla person as well. I call it drink so that it takes in every flavor of drink.
Ok explaining time. So the reason why yawning is contagious is because you also yawn when the oxygen levels in the area you are is low and you yawn to get more oxygen. So when you yawn and someone else sees you yawn their brain will think “oh that persons yawning I better yawn too!” And that’s the reason why btw I absolutely love your videos!

The social psychology of yawning is actually really interesting but the short answer to why they’re contagious is empathy. People who are empathetic are much more likely to yawn after other people do because in general they’re more likely to reflect other peoples feelings back to them.
Culver’s is so good. I went there for a wrestling tournament and I ate there after weigh-ins and I scarfed down 2 baskets of chicken tenders
Fountain drinks on the west coast are usually referred to as "sodas." Pop is rarely if ever used on the west coast!

fun fact: In the Philippines, aside from Pepsi Cola and Coca Cola, we also have a Philippine version of those and it is called Pop Cola..
In Pittsburgh and Bethel Park, we say soda soda instead of pop or Coke we say Coke for Coca-Cola and diet Coke for Pepsi we say Pepsi or diet Pepsi or cherry Pepsi Sprite we just say a sprite river we just say, root beer and seltzer water we just say seltzer water and whatever names they soda or pop or Coke has that’s what we say in Bethel Park.
