Liked Japan's effort despite the gap. If I were Japanese, I would still be proud
Germany used its strength to beat JP's weak spots the whole game - dominant height and strength in the paint area, stifling defense on the three-point shots. Just look at JP's 3pt percentage compared to their game against Finland. Dennis is just as fast as JP's PG, and even stronger. Japan had a great game with full efforts and fighting spirit, but the reality is still brutal.
I think Germany will win a medal. They are pretty deep. It depends on how much time Franz needs to take off.
Theis is underrated, I miss him on the Celtics, not the most athletic or biggest guy but is always solid and consistent, makes winning plays ☘️✊🇩🇪. Also shout out to BaBa

Rui chose not to play in FIBA(source around internet hes in LA now) , germany looks good, i'll miss dennis in LA but i hope he does well 2024. JP need to gang rebound or just try everything, I like how they play w/ all out speed/sprints. Yuta just needs to shoot his 3s. I like JP but I see them 3/4th in the group.

The reality is when two teams have the same proficiency in the fundamentals, fighting spirit can't overcome size and pace in basketball. Japan are too small and too slow. Any half-decent European and American sides would've easily exploited that.
