WHAT IS THE ATHEIST EXPERIENCE?
The Atheist Experience is a weekly call-in television show in Austin, Texas geared at a non-atheist audience. The Atheist Experience is produced by the Atheist Community of Austin.
The Atheist Community of Austin is organized as a nonprofit educational corporation to develop and support the atheist community, to provide opportunities for socializing and friendship, to promote secular viewpoints, to encourage positive atheist culture, to defend the first amendment principle of state-church separation, to oppose discrimination against atheists and to work with other organizations in pursuit of common goals.
We define atheism as the lack of belief in gods. This definition also encompasses what most people call agnosticism.

Yesterday was annelise michel birthday she would've been 70 years old.
The reality of the matter is that for some atheists, no evidence will ever be enough to convince them of God’s existence, as they will always explain evidence away because they have a prior commitment to the philosophy of naturalism.

When Bob quotes the Bible verse that you can't enslave Hebrews like you can those people of the Nations when arguing that the Bible prohibits slavery; that's priceless.

First thing that came to mind when he said that was my favorite quote from The Princess Bride (incidentally a much better and more moral piece of fiction) when Inigo Montoya says to Vizzini "You keep using that word. Atheist are the type of people that believe that the egg came before the chicken. Atheist are the most confused bunch of folks in the entire world. Any time a person can look at everything created and not say there’s an origin or create a word considering the intelligent design shows their ignorance. But I believe atheists choose to be ignorant. They are so scared of learning about Jesus Christ of the changes they need to make in their life.

Obviously, my interpretation is correct.
If I want to use it to take away women's autonomy, it doesn't matter if Jesus said nothing about abortion or the Old Testament actually provided the recipe for an abortifacient.
If I want to oppress and repress LGBTQ+ because of my personal bigotry, it doesn't matter that Jesus said nothing about it. I can cherry pick stuff from the OT (except the shellfish thing because I loves me some lobster).

I live in the UK and I find the religious commitment of America (not all Americans obviously) fascinating and equally terrifying.
I've been told many times on social media by Christians that I am destined for a eternity of suffering if I don't accept Christ. I never know how to respond to someone who has a deep rooted fear of an imaginary being

And then as I started to binge listen to podcasts of past shows and heard the same idiotic arguments over and over, I came to the same conclusion that you did.

We cannot dismiss from our laws, our courts, or our individual lives the sense of good and evil, right and wrong. These must have been embedded in human understanding by an intelligent designer. This is the only possible explanation as to why Marxists and other atheists often cry out against injustice. Atheism involves a logical fallacy known as a universal negative. Simply stated, a person would have to be omniscient and omnipresent to be able to say "there is no God" from his own pool of knowledge. Only someone capable of being in all places at the same time - with a perfect knowledge of all that is in the universe - can make such a statement based on the facts. In other words, a person would have to be God to say there is no God.

And completely irrelevant because "I don't believe in god because there's no evidence for one" doesn't make any claims about knowledge. That would be gnosticism vs agnosticism. Agnostic atheism is the _only_ completely logical and rational stance we have right now - at least regarding hypothetical gods. Being a gnostic atheist towards christianity, islam, hinduism and other man-made religions is also completely rational. Those simply cannot be true due to definitional contradictions.

Anthony Flew finally conceded that the complexity of laws and processes in the universe require a lawmaker. As far as we know, Flew never became a Christian, but as an old man he finally admitted the irrationality of atheism and the rationality of faith in a higher being.

Christian's hypocrisy is incredible. They believe God is just and he forbids murder and stealing, but when he doesn't forbid slavery, then somehow it's OK that all-good God ignores slavery because people already doing it. They weren't even killing each other. "Don't steal" "Don't murder" (in most cases) is the bare minimum for a group of the same species to coexist, even animals know that. The ten commandments didn't bring anything new, except for the three first useless rules.

Anyone who claims that they are not religious and then makes judgments about religious topics (e.g., the deity of Christ, the existence of God, the morality regarding adultery, the truthfulness of the Bible, and so on) has made a religious statement. Though they may “claim” to be irreligious, they reveal that they are indeed religious when they attempt to refute another religious view.

I've heard that the bible was written in such a way that the authors intended their work to be interpreted in a multitude of ways and to get many different meanings from the same piece of writing, so yeah no one has the "right" interpretation because it's basically impossible!
