My favorite thing about this game is that they kept ALL the Easter eggs and charm. Peach’s ??? Is still there, Mario can still be kissed by bowser and booster, and Mario still wants to deck a child. It’s perfect

They did such a incredible job with this remake it's so faithful and it looks absolutely beautiful with amazingusic hope this gets a sequel someday

It needs to be said, but I 100% feel that Mario Wonder and the SMRPG remake were so needed to make 2023 just that little bit more bearable. These games honestly have made me smile more than most other modern games at this time. An amazing 2d Mario game and the resurgence of a beloved cult classic from 1996. I'm so happy to have these games as part of my library.

Im ngl, seeing Brent play SMRPG (a game I was very fond of in my youth) TWICE, makes me really want him to play Dragon Quest 8, another massive game of my young days. Though it probably wom't happen since its too long to warrant a channel playthrough. One can dream, eh?
I think it's pretty weird throughout the entire game, only Bowser is the one with sound effects when speaking (sometimes). Still though 11/10 game, they should definitely do more with this game.
I waited for it until I played it through myself to avoid any spoilers.
It was SUCH a great game and I really hope there will be more of it in the future!^^
Also, my favorite moments were Mallow´s perma-smiling, the Triple-Bruh at the Bowyer-fight and of course Culex who is called Crystallux in German! xD

This was, to me, a wonderful Christmas present, and I have my mom to thank for that. I’ve beaten it twice, because I got the zero fireworks ending the first time, 100%-ing the game was…might I say, a pain, but I loved the game so much. And to make it more fun, I made 10 references to YOU for every moment I came across.😊
As a wise king once said, DO IT AGAIN! Jokes aside this remake is phenomenal, they really kept it pretty faithful hopefully this greenlights for more appearances and possible sequel ❤️

Awesome playthrough! The original Super Mario RPG was the first RPG I played as a kid so it was great to finally get a remake! I just beat the remake recently and it the game is still a joy to play! It hit me with a wave of nostalgia and I do like some of the extra stuff they added! It is excellent we are also getting Paper Mario TTYD this year, too!
I'm hoping this might mean Nintendo finally makes a new Mario RPG or Mario & Luigi game? Perhaps traditional Mario RPGs will finally make a comeback?

Its funny hearing him say 'no your name is Mack' or 'No your name is Yaridovich' considering Mack as a 'Ted Woolseyism', so Claymorton would be a proper translation, and Speardovich is LITERALLY what Yaridovich would translate too as Yari is Japanese for Spear. Although I will admit Mack is funnier, and Yaridovich rolls off the tongue better...then again I played the SNES version first so I'm biased.

I dunno how to reference claymorton to mack, the only reason I can see for the name change is that claymorton sounds like claymore which is a type of heavy sword, of which the pogo sticks are supposed to be swords.
Speardovich is easier, as yari is the name of a japanese spear and the boss is supposed to be a spear so that makes sense.
It’s also a reference to a song called Mack the Knife.

Ngl, it is kinda frustrating that Brent got everyone else's best weapons, but not Mario and Peach's.
Like... you get two Lazy Shells. One is Mario's best weapon, the other is a really good piece of Armor. I wouldn't say it's the best because your character's damage output and Speed suffers heavily from it, but still. Even on Peach it greatly nerfs her Healing capabilities.
But in return, you got massive defense. So on Peach who’s a strict healer it’s a god send
@@Videogal1993 that is true. But my main argument, that I did kinda lose a bit at the end, is that Brent not going for the Lazy Shell, even if a very powerful armor, is also missing Mario's best weapon.
And he could just not equip the armor Lazy Shell.
