I listened to this song so much when one of my best friend’s dad died. I was fairly close to him and this song brought me so much peace even though I didn’t really understand the depth of the words and the magnitude of Christ’s sacrifice for us at the time. Fast forward 8 years and God allowed life’s struggles to bring me down to my knees in complete surrender to Jesus. Satan tried to take my life in the midst of my anguish but Jesus did not allow that. In a depressed rage I crashed my car and it flipped over and everyone thought for sure the driver was dead but I not only didn’t die, I walked out from a flipped over car with a minor bump on my knee and finger. Jesus then healed my mind and pulled me out of the depths of suicidal depression and he reassured me that I only needed to hold on just a bit longer that he is coming soon for us who look to Him and live according to His will. My Lord Jesus Christ even if you don’t come in my lifetime, I will never again turn my back on you. Thank you for saving me.

How deep the fathers love for each of his children! We are loved by the Father and His Son individually, more than we have the ability to comprehend or receive. Not only are we given the gifts of forgiveness and resurrection, but Jesus sees us through anything that comes before us in this life. We truly are never alone and He is only one prayer away from us. . . Always! I love him and want to be like him!

Nobody does good. That’s the thing. Yes, the answer is because mercy trumps his judgment but to pause and reflect on why his mercy trumps his judgment, you have to admit that it makes no sense. But whoever has received his mercy has gained an incredible reward.

Jacob Thomas After Jesus was crucified, God raised Jesus from the dead and gave him his status as King. So when God sends Jesus back to reign as King over the world, everyone will be subject to him. That’s his reward. Now, for the followers of Jesus, they will be given an inheritance. They will be granted the privilege of living in the kingdom of God and will reign with Jesus as priests and Kings. But none of this would be possible for Jesus followers if Jesus had not paid for the sins of his followers. In this way then, Jesus followers gained from Jesus’s reward.
